They also missed out on players like Leighton Baines because they fucked around.
Despite what Sky Sports United report, they're not the heavy weights they think they are.

Maybe the only club to make official bid is us and Southampton don't consider it to be very "serious".

These days it seems the bid only comes right at the end of negotiations with the player. No point us bidding if we know he's waiting for Utd.
