When initially talking about the stadium, wasn't a big thing made of the fact that Levy/the club wanted an intimate, intimidating atmosphere, with the fans close to the pitch?

We're a football club first and foremost, so our stadium should be a football stadium first and foremost.
I don't mind letting them give the club money by letting hand-egg be played there but not at the expense of our bread and butter. We've got arguably the best training facilities in Europe, it stands to reason that Levy would want a stadium to match. NFL must be made to fit around Spurs' needs.

I think we've been led to believe that there would be a retractable pitch which NFL would be able to play on..otherwise, everything would stay football specific?
