I do find it reasonably amusing at the amount of pure hissy fits bouncing around regarding the Moses stuff....
Most of the more successful things the club has done has been against the grain of the fan consensus, imo, and most of the signings that would appease the fans (at the time they were made) haven't exactly been..... well, successful.
That's not intended to be a black and white statement, more a statement that the fans aren't superior to professional decision makers, and perhaps an indication that things might work out a little better than some are presuming.
One of my favourite Spurs players of the PL era was David Ginola, literally a Gerry Francis type of singing, and was signed at 30 years old. I remember at the time sections of fans were against the idea and wanted Ferdinand more (who we signed eventually a short while after for twice the price). Who would have thought that the French Newcastle reject would help us to a trophy and into our Hall of Fame?
What I'm saying is, just because a player has been wasted at Chelsea doesn't mean he is incapable of becoming, or it's impossible he can become, the next Spurs legend. He's got 6 years to grow before he even gets to the age Ginola was when he signed for us....

I hope it wasn't the Ashes you went to see...cos they're playing that at Lords.
Maybe that's why you don't remember there being cricket!
i cant get past stage 1.The four stages of Moses...
Shock
Anger
Pleading
Acceptance
Moses is wank though bro. I never wanted him even after his Wigan exploits. You could tell he would always be a good player for a lower to mid table prem side but never had that top quality needed to step up.
I would rather see what our youth could do than buy Moses.
Ginola was class throughout his career, to mention his name in the same paragraph as Moses embarasses us both. Sacrilegious mate. Sacrilegious.
Or might have something to do with being on an all day benderYet you're judging a player's performance for us before he's even been signed. Irony wasn't lost on you.
