Don't know about anyone else, but with the recent ITK and the start of the season so close I can't help but be excited.

I think I'm actually nursing a semi....

I think his honest motivation for hesitation is being afraid of Kane. That's my two cents. I don't think he can stomach being behind him in the pecking order.

To be fair, we've had quite a detailed update suggesting otherwise, one can be excused for thinking either or.
Pretty sure there's ITK today saying the hold up is the club waiting/hoping one of the mancs come in with a bigger fee offer

SB isnt good enough to be dicking us around in my opinion, if he waiting for a better club id sooner move on.

No itk about Saido causing the delay at all. Its WBA who are hoping for the bidding war. Saido would join us immediately if the clubs agreed a fee

They manage to form a brilliant partnership for england u21's. Don't see why they can't with us. He can play lwf or rwf as well as up front on his own. He will get plenty of games.

That's my point. We've had updates, today, portraying both sides of the story.
Both that the club, and that the player, is holding out for Manchester clubs.
1 update from one of our regular ITKs, 1 update from one of our regular users meeting agents.
Ergo, not easy for mere mortals to be too adamant about what is going on with this transfer.

So its looking like Ade is going, usually I would wish him luck but I think Villa are gonna need all the luck they can get.
I can't remember wanting any player to go as much as Ade.
Good riddance, one day you will wake up and wonder what could have been.

Must have missed the one claiming it was the player, only saw the club one

I honestly dgaf anyway, he's not an exciting prospect to me tbh

I too think he would get plenty of games. But what if he feels inferior to Kane after having gotten to know him?

Wasn't the ITK from the heavy hitters last week coming from Berahino's agents as well? That tells me that he would have no problems joining if we agreed a fee. The fee is always going to be the sticking point as WBA hold all of the cards. No release clause, no contract running down, player seems to be happy and not kicking up a fuss to move.

Contract is running down. He has 2 years left. He doesn't go this summer then noone comes in for him in jan suddenly it's a year and his value would drop significantly.

This is just a general observation not specific to you ES.

Us fans musn't forget that although we are here for the love of football and our club a lot of people in football are in it for the money. It is understandable that SB wants a bigger club because it will mean a bigger wage packet, his agent is advising him for the same reason, WBA are hanging on because they want more dough as well and our knights in shining armour are hoping that if they hang on long enough the price will go down and they get to keep more of the filthy lucre.

At the same time we have been told that SB is not the no 1 target and we are trying to buy another forward and if that comes off we will tell them all to fuck off anyway. So who is dicking who?

jasper: Here it is, and very simple! Bobby will not be sold until we confirm a new striker signing, even if not announced!

The only thing that confuses me about this - if he will not be sold until we confirm a new striker, then shouldn't he be playing/training with us at the moment? It seems to be clear Ade is off - and that's great. Leaves us with Kane + Bobby (who isn't being prepared to be play with us this season). But we are then relying solely on Kane, for now, on the assumption that not only Bobby will be sold but that we will be getting another able body in the squad. If one of those doesn't go our way - then we are stuck with Kane and an underprepared Bobby.....
Not knocking the info, but questioning our policy on this one..
