Didn't Southampton reject a transfer request for schneiderling last season?

He did indeed.

I can't really tally what we've been hearing with the announcement that he's had a transfer request rejected. Very far from being done unless something quite odd is happening behind the scenes.

Apparently from us, we didn't get him either.

And I think Levy managed to piss off the Soton Chairman enough that they would rather sell to Portsmouth than us. They join a long list of clubs who we are unlikely to do business with any time soon.

my specific point about soton was clearly about their steadfastness at this point in the window. they were willing sellers last summer, up to a point, then slammed the door shut. their door is shut now. unless city offer 30m for someone. we wont be!

They would have been lynchings had anymore been sold

Yeah...just like that Aulas bloke after the Lloris deal.
Such bullshit, these chairman will deal with the devil if it means they get what they want.

I wonder if the last 2 bits of ITK from Grey Fox and Hertyid were based on the assumption that this transfer request would be accepted. It's hard to tell right now if things are playing along to a script or if this is a spanner in the works.

Agreed. I pretty certain there chairmen won't give a damn what the fans think. He isn't doing this to please them. He may well be doing it to get his 25 million. West brom don t need to sell him. We need a forward though desperately. They hold all the cards
Not even close. There are several reasons why WBA don't hold the cards that have been mentioned in these threads.

Rubbish. They are an establish premier league club, it's there player, they can sell him to anyone they want or not sell him at all. If there price isn't met they have full right to say no deal

It's easy for other chairman to use Levy as the bad guy in all transfer dealings as he now has a reputation for being a nuisance to deal with, its just like Fred West always being painted as a baddie by the media.

True enough, but it seems that any alternative to dealing with Levy is preferable, hence, any competitor jumps ahead of us in the queue.
