Should never had let ourselves be in this position in the first place, gross negligence imo

Disagree. We had been told it would be accepted. Seems they had promises broken to them as well.

Other deals broke down as well after we was told they would go.

More disappointed that we've yet again failed to offload Adebayor than that we've missed out on Berahino in my opinion.

I know he's completely different to Berahino but we should go all out for Berbatov now. He's still got it even if he isn't the player he was and obviously he's a free agent which is our only option now :-/

4 competitions with 1 striker? That's just crazy.
Has Levy learned nothing from leaving it until the last minute with stop gap signings like Campbell and Saha.
Son really has to hit the ground running and if Kane picks up an injury ...

Looks like the majority of the users 'having melt downs' despite 'insert X amount of time left' were right all along.

Easy to say with hindsight but it was obviously a long, long way out we would be left feeling bitter come 6pm tonight.

Still have until 8 to announce deals don't we?

if a deal sheet was submitted, but i think levy must have used that as a doodle pad all day.

No strikers, again, really. We should really get a massive banner and i mean massive, saying "levy where are our f@*king strikers?"

if your going to head into meltdown mode at least give it another 3 to 4 epl matches 1st.

yes we as fans feel (we are not EPL managers) we have been let down. yep in many eyes we needed a DM, but lost our No.1 target to a CL team. Berahino £25m? only had 1 good season, like Kane. next season we can get him for nearer 15 when WBA get relegated

One striker until January (at best). Not remotely good enough no matter how we spin it. Whether it's Levy himself or anyone else, this is pretty much gross negligence by the club. Shocking.

People will though.

Chadli can play upfront.

There's no pulling the wool over my eyes. This window we have failed and we haven't learned from our lessons.

I appreciate all the info from the ITK's and I take it for what it is. But now the evidence is there - we haven't brought in what we HAD to - It's a poor window, plain and simple.

This paired with my wife telling me she wants a divorce is a great start to the end of summer and beginning of fall.

I feel bad because I believe in Poch but I gotta imagine the FdB chants will be coming soon after the lack of CM and CF. Just feel we are a bit too raw at the moment. realistically 8-11 finish.

Having said that thanks to all the ITKs for top notch info. No salt. Thanks for being kind enough to share your love.

Same old with Levy. We all should learn and I think we are. Man is for the most part a cancer to our club. How we go into the season with one recognised striker is actually unbelievable. Good luck to him filling 60,000 stadium, even vs Everton loads of empty seats. Still hope anyone who goes to Sunderland enjoys the trip, no doubt Clinton will still be unfit, Son will not have adapted yet and we will field the same team that has struggled so far this season. #rant!!!

Sounds like the WBA chairman was stringing us and Berahino along all summer

Still, It's little excuse for failing to have a backup and setting a deadline on the SB deal.

Absolute negligence from the club hierarchy.
What other club goes into a season, where it has aspirations of competing, with only one striker. Absolutely brainless.

And for those about to quote that Son and Njie are strikers, no they are not, they are wide forwards, they cannot lead the line.

Then the argument that you can't force a club to sell a player, well in that case your scouts really should work smarter on bigger lists of options. Or try paying the going rate. Other clubs seemed to manage getting their forwards sorted.

For all the great work clearing out the players they didn't feel were good enough, to then not bother replacing them with the right balance, is just a pointless exercise, driven for financial gain, not footballing reasons. Financial gain doesn't win you things, but being successful does earn you more money. So so short sighted.

Fingers crossed Harry Kane has 50-60 games in the tank this season, otherwise we are shafted.

Have the BSoDL surfaced with their excuses yet? I think several people owe Mikeee and the doomsayers an apology to be honest. The window started with such promise but never before have we left ourselves so criminally exposed in key positions.
