My main gripe is we sold Soldado and Stambouli without being able to close their replacements. Ridiculous to have done the former whilst offering not offering the asking price west brom wanted.

For someone as supposedly smart and savvy as Levy he doesn't seem to be able to learn from his glaring mistakes. A manager does that and he gets sacked after six months. Levy has been delivering Frazer Campbell clusterfcks for years now

So.......

Meltdown?

Not even mad. Nobody can say they're surprised at this.

I think it's a pathetic for Levy and the scouts to leave us in this position, but I feel more saddened than angry. Kane is going to be run into the ground, Pochettino will probably be the scapegoat when the season goes tits up, and this whole sorry process will start again.

The question is - what manager is going to be desperate/crazy enough to join a team that leaves them with just a young striker who has yet to complete a Prem season, and a bunch of inexperienced kids in the centre of the pitch. Dozens of decent options were available in this window for those key positions, but instead we tried to be smart (again) and blew it big time (again).

Never thought we'd mess up our striker situation as badly as the Fraizer Campbell window, but hats off to you Levy, you've outdone yourself (y)

So let's see. We unloaded a full first team of players and saved nearly £20m in wages. We will end with an exactly zero net spend after the Lennon transfer goes through. We have one recognized striker.

And Adebayor...

Could someone please explain to me how clubs like West Brom and Palace are able to spend £20m net and we don't. We're all getting TV money, so that can't be the excuse.

Just really feel like we're going to get left behind and find ourselves squarely in the premier league middle class this season.

Poch will tell us we have Kane, son and njie for cf role. I wish he came out and said how disappointed he is. He will no doubt lose his job when results are bad
He's another yes man unfortunately... No doubt N'jie and Son will be hyped up as striking options... When we all know in reality we are a Kane injury away from being fucked.

We are playing in 4 competitions with 1 striker, you couldn't even make that level of incompetency up

Also...We must be fucking skint as a club.

Do you know how depressing it is watching relegation fodder net spend into the tens of millions and there is us consistently breaking even.

Lol. Fucking knew it. Just gross negligence and sheer incompetence from Levy. Seriously, how the fuck do you only have 1 fucking strike target when you desperately need a striker? Are you kidding?

Worried more about the bottom line instead of the product on the pitch. Soon enough, the product of the pitch will effect the bottom line. But Levy is too fucking thick to understand that. It's the same fucking bullshit every year. I have no clue how people can defend this but they always do. Fucking infuriating.

I'm more worried about lack of centre mid. I feel we have taken our eye off the ball there and gone all out for a striker. At least up front we have Chadli, Adebayor still around (he's going to have to be used now, its silly not to), and the two new signings who could probably do a job through the centre in the odd game to back up Kane. We needed the right player in the centre of the park more in my opinion.

We (fans) need to learn our lesson. We will always be at least one piece of the jigsaw missing. Need to stop kidding ourselves about getting the likes of Martial. AVB wanted Moutinho - not backed, Poch wanted MS - not backed. There's a pattern here...

Trying to stay upbeat, but as a multi-million pound business, we really should be handling transfers better than this.

Uninspiring season probably ahead in what was meant to be Poch's first proper season with players he wanted bedded in. By now I really should know better.

Njie Son Chadli and Lamela are who we'll depend on to cover Kane. We've no idea what to expect from Njie. Perhaps he's who we see playing in Kanes absence. Arsenal have 1 CF and will finish top 4. We can still do well providing Kane can match last season. Big ask I know, but this is an optimistic post.

Not even the most optimistic fan can say that was anything but utter shit-housery today. Spent all summer disagreeing with the pessimistic fans about our aversion to not have a significant net spend or ability to buy a suitable DM and backup ST. Turns out they were right all along.

Last time I tempt fate on that front, you have broken me Spurs. So so frustrating.
