Going back to the penalty, If he been facing Rose and the same thing happened, he jumped, stuck his elbow out, the ball hit his chest then his elbow would it be a penalty..............of course, all day long, just because he is facing the other way doesn't diminish the offence.

Sheeesh 50 whole seconds. I really dislike that type of goal commentary. So forced and contrived. What's the point?

It's funny to hear as a one off but that on a regular basis would annoy the hell out of me.

Timing of having such a great season is immense.

Emotionally it is one thing, but financially this title run-in could be like winning a lottery. Exposure we will get just in the run in towards May would be immense.

This could make such a big difference to the club financials, especially in securing a great naming rights deal.

Let's be honest it was never a pen. BUT, how many of those have been given in our area down the years? I mean never penalties that are given not the handball/side itself. We've been due a bit of luck like that and Kane still had to finish it off. Which he did calmly and wonderfully.

Eriksen's finish was as calm as anything. Loving it. Buzzing!
Yeah we got the rub of the green here, but I think it was coming. We've had a lot of results where we were clearly the better team, but only came away with a draw.

Like I said in an earlier post, my comments after 80 mins don't become redundant because Eriksen does one good thing in the 83rd minute.

No, they become redundant because they are wrong.
He wasn't great, but he did what he always does, which is keep us ticking over, moving the ball around the pitch and opening opportunities for team mates.

You see none of this because you don't want to, you'd rather insult all and sundry for not wearing the same blinkers you do. Then you think you're vindicated because one single poster backs you.
Having watched the game again, without the emotional angst, I can tell you that your "opinion" isn't even in the same hemisphere as the word correct.

Just watched it. We didn't create a lot but it was an immense performance. City looked useless. I think I had to change my pants when Lamela was the wrong side of Aguero in the box but aside from that all good. Lets go win this fucking thing.

totally agree and when u see the angle from behind the goal you can Cleary see that sterling lifts his arm to make a bigger target, plus his appeal to ref wasn't very convincing either. It was a massive call to get but it was the right one. Lets win this thing now.

For what it's worth, I think the penalty was incredibly harsh. However, due to the fact that we NEVER get these decisions against the top teams, I'm more than happy to agree that we deserved it.

That's for the Rose sending off last season, you ****s.

Edit: wait, did that even happen?! Just researching now and I can't find it. Ahh well!

I think when we got the goal it was only natural that we would get nervous & make a few mistakes though we came through it & nobody let it effect them & when someone did make a mistake there was someone there to back them up & cut out the danger... That would never of happened a few years ago.. we would of crumbled & got beat.. We have played games like last week where we have dominated possession & had to be patient to get the break through.. we did. &we learned something about this team.

Today we didn't move the ball quick enough at times & when nerves kicked in we gave away possession a bit to easily at times however when it came down to it we showed we can get the job done when we don't have the ball & are a real team & luck on our side.. I really think if this team stays together & we add to it, there's no reason we can't be a force in Europe over the next five seasons
The reason we struggled with penetrative in the final third today is that for most of the first half city were scared to come out of their defensive shape. They basically sat in their own half and tried to deny us space. They knew that if they went toe to toe with us we would hurt them.

It wasn't our best performance but we did what we needed to do.

No mate. You said, "Eriksen has been a fucking useless shit ****. Where's the fucking bottle!?" Massive win, yet you're now massively butthurt that people have pulled you up on your bullshit.

Ooh butthurt, great word.

He had been fucking useless up until he scored, that's a fact. Now run along pal.

Lol ok mate. Look at my posts in recent ratings threads, I've complimented Eriksen, but today he was shocking, he gave the ball away and bottled challenges. Just because you have a fan group of whoever that dislikes my posts and agrees with you doesn't mean you're correct.

Having not watched the game again, I couldn't give a shit whether you think he played well or not, that's not my point. When I see him give the ball away or need 10 crosses to finally deliver a decent ball, I think he's not reaching the level he's capable of.

It wasn't a penalty but when you don't defend properly & turn your back to crosses 1) that's the risk you make 2) you get what you deserve for not doing the right things... Danny Rose perfect example.. Earlier on in the season against Arsenal in the cup he turned his back on a shot & it was a goal... Today stays big & takes the ball full whack in the gutt.. Immense & that's what it takes if you want to win.. We wanted to win today.. City feared losing
