The rumours just won't go away. I for one wouldn't be surprised if he went.

Of course they won't as long as various hacks keep making them up. Alves is supposed to be going to Chelsea (or Liverpool), so Sevilla must be looking for a replacement, so…

Have you got any stats on Lee's assist rate in the Eridivisie Carl?

As for Boulahrouz, can't say I know a lot about him other than he was highly thought of before this season. Could be it was a blip, but i can't judge. I think if we signed him I'd be inclined to trust the judgement of Jol and co.

joining Bayern Munich, will be confirmed soon

as for Chimbonda why would we sell the best RB we have had in years after only 1 season, anyone know what length of contract he's on?

chimbonda is replaceable quite frankly. Yes he's good, but he does some stupid crap to. The last few games he was dilly dallying around with the ball in our penalty box every few mins, asking for trouble.

His blatant lack of anything regarding a left foot is also disturbing. If we get an offer over £10mill i think we should sell.

Really? Who told you that? The fairies at the bottom of your garden?

This is, presumably, why England are having to fuck around playing CBs like Carragher, Brown and Richards at RB, because there are so many quality back-ups for Neville. And why Chelsea haven't been able to find one of sufficient quality.

If Chimbonda leaves -I have to admit 10M is looking more and more tasty by the day. We should put Lee Right back and Stalteri as cover.

Hi Double :) Have to say I think Salty is a better right back than Lee

this gets better and better. 2 teams chasing Chimbonda @ 10m? (Derren Brown must be his agent) will only force the price up. Maybe we could get an Alves + Cash deal for Clownbonda?

did i say english RBs? no.

sagna is available for £5m and he is currently in the french squad at chimbondas expense. bosingwa from porto is avail for teh huge sum of £3.5m. he has CL experience and is just gettin ghis first few caps. Richards is a rb (when has he ever played cb?), and would come if we put in a big bid.

chelski havent found one because theyre too busy buying big namers like cashley, shev, ballack, mikel

Richards is not a RB. He's been playing there for City because it's the only way they could fit him, Dunne and Distin into the starting XI. With Distin gone he'll be in at CB next season unless someone is willing to shell out the enormous asking price. City talk is that he wants to stay another season at least to see how the takeover stuff pans out and if they start investing in decent players.

Have you actually seen Sagna or Bosingwa? Chimbonda is a proven quantity in the Premiership, and despite his slump in form towards the end of the season (not entirely surprising given that he's played 50 full games) he's been the best RB in the Premiership bar Finnan, certainly the best Spurs have had in years.

Sell Chimbonda for 10+ - the guy is a mercenary anyway , i think we all saw that with what happened with Wigan...get Sagna for 4-5m and make a nice little profit on the fecker!

No stats but I was lucky enough to see around 65% of the matches he played for PSV, domestically and in europe. Since 2002 I have seen a fair few Korean international matches too.

How come?

Chelsea offer £12m for Spurs defender Chimbonda after missing out on Alves

Chelsea have upped their bid for Spurs defender Pascal Chimbonda to £12million after being priced out of a move for Daniel Alves.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho was snubbed in a £10m offer for the French right-back last month but has tested the resolve of Tottenham chief Martin Jol with an increased bid, reports The Sun.

Mourinho was trying to hijack Liverpool's bid for Brazilian full-back Alves but has been put off by Seville's £20m asking price.

Chelsea were only prepared to stretch to £13m for Alves, who is likely to move to Anfield.

Chimbonda was a £4.5m signing from Wigan last summer and Jol wants to hang on to the player, despite a large potential profit.

Mourinho is desperate for a right-back even though Glen Johnson will return to Stamford Bridge after a season-long loan at Portsmouth.

The Blues boss has lost faith in his fellow Portuguese Paulo Ferreira as a first-choice right-back.

France midfielder Florent Malouda fuelled reports he could be joining Chelsea in a £12.5m deal after he left Lyon's training camp yesterday.

How much will we make as I would have thought the Wigan have negotiated a reasonable percentage of the fee as part of the original package.

would think we would be doubling our money if we sold for 12 million, but am not sure if its a good idea or not, that 12 million could be put to good use but after having sorted out the right back situation last year we have to go through all of it again, got no idea to sell or not.
