hmm justspurs on coys posted this:
Heard a very interesting snippet that we may be in talks with Uber as sponsorship partner for serious money. Doing a bit of research it looks like it would make a lot of sense.

  • Uber recently started a partnership with Lyon for their new stadium. The announcement said the initiative is part of Uber’s plan to strengthen its presence in major European stadiums and concert venues.
  • The NFL deals gives them huge US exposure too.
  • Uber raised $2.5 billion this week.

Prepare for the Uber Stadium.

Was that followed by 342 replies all saying something along the lines of,

"Thanks for sharing justspurs......all heil Prof!" :cautious:;)

Bringing this thread back to relevance....JJ says not both Sanabria + Janssen which was interesting bc the price for each is reasonable in my opinion.

Not sure if I believe the PSG links to Janssen. Prices in L'Equipe are €15m which makes me question legitimacy.

If reports are to be believed and we are €3-5m short on both Janssen & Sanabria then the deal of our choice can be done very quickly.

Everyone everywhere markets whether they need it or not. maintaining brand awareness ia a key marketing component, as is being associated with success or anything your brand stands for. It seems ideal to market the idea that anyone coming out of a stadium of any sort can call a Uber cab. Personally I had never heard of them, I'm sure there are plenty in America, as well as over here, who also have never heard of them.

Which isn't the main issue.

Customers want accessibility and communication with ease on the smartphones that everyone now owns. Until companies step up to the plate and provide that level of accessibility they will sink.

Like I said it has absolutely nothing to do with the drivers. It has everything to do with what the companies won't provide for their customers and at the end of the day the customer makes the final decision. They've been getting by from having no competition and haven't adapted to all the technological advancements of the ages. Cabs have basically stayed the same other than with GPS' and some safety measures for the drivers here and there - that's unacceptable for an industry in this day and age.

Now that a rival has come out offering customers what they want that matches modern technology the companies are left scrambling. More worrisome is instead of matching and adapting they'd rather try and use the law to manage control instead of just giving customers what they want.
Cheap now is a poor long term option,

.

I found it interesting because, if memory serves me correctly, haven't multiple ITK's stated Poch actually wants/is targeting 2 forwards?

That's not me dismissing JJ, it's me trying to figure out whether, if it's not both of Sanabria & Janssen, is JJ possibly intimating it's 2 different attackers, or one of those 2, plus another we perhaps haven't heard about?

It's almost impossible to believe we'd be signing Batshuayi + one other, so it surely must be one of Janssen & Sanabria, plus 1 other?

God knows if that made sense.

Batshuayi and Janssen as a pair was ruled out a while back. Now Janssen and Sanabria as a pair ruled out. Given that it was also widely suggested two are coming in, suppose that's one CF and one who's more of a WF, like Bouffal or Promes, from those suggested in the media.
Odd thing is, we haven't actually seen much ITK surrounding a WF, it's been fairly consistently about CF's, which was why I thought Janssen as CF and Sanabria as a younger WF/CF option made some sense, especially given their relatively reasonable fees.

Uber is expanding to a great degree. Very soon, they will not "only" be the taxi alternative company. Personally, I'm not partial to rapid expansions, I think they are too risky, but if their plans pay off, Uber will become way huge. Meaning that, the potential future sponsor of Spurs is not only an underground taxi company, but a company with a future online business empire.

I don't see how it is more of a gamble than bringing in someone who doesn't know the league or the system. We know what Bentaleb can do and it is good enough and alot of potential to get better IMO.

Agreed, i'm more than comfortbale with having Dier, Demebele and Wanayama as our first 3 main options with Bentaleb back-up to those.

Think we were linked to Marlos a few weeks ago as well. It seems we're going for a centre forward and someone who will play in the 3 behind.

Don't forget the transfer fee is not the only expense. If we signed both, we'd have two salaries to pay.

Looks like our striker list shrinking by the day. I really hope we don't end up with no one.
