And so have we, we've managed to retain our best players and have added Jansen and Victor to the squad. With the exception of City and United no one has massively strengthened. Arsenal and Liverpool have glaring weaknesses and the likes of Everton, West Ham have barely done anything of note in the market.

We will never be a situation where we come out of a window where the squad is complete and where there is no weakness. No club does that, what we have now is an excellent first 11 with some very good back up options and some talented youngsters coming through. It's isn't perfect but it is better than most and better than we have had in quite some time.

I certainly don't think it's the disaster some are making it out to be but if we sell those that have been mentioned and don't replace them I think the squad is very thin considering it was already too thin quality wise last season for us to compete on all fronts and we've got the CL this year.

It's all ifs and buts at the moment but with the Champions League and the tv money this year I'd be disappointed if we were left relying on the kids.

As I said though. Let's see. Could be a busy couple of days left yet.

We should sign him just to snap him in training every day of the week.

That's got to be good for morale.

I understand peoples anguish with getting rid of so many players, all who were not in Poch's plans might I say, but I concur it appears to be leaving us light for experienced first team squad players. I personally can understand selling these players as it frees up wages as well as positions in the squad.
Either we have players in the pipeline, fingers crossed, or Poch really rates our youth players.
We can only watch and wait so why this response occurs every window beggars belief.

We are after all ahead of Poch's targets.

My best guess at the cryptic is Cesc Fabergas. He's a blue A M from Chelsea (flower show)
Also ties in with Grey Fox's it wont be Pogbaesque but will suprise people.
Best I can do I'm afraid :bag:
I don't think I can ever see this happen. Especially after stamford bridge last season

Wanyama strengthens us defensively and we already had best defence so that's great- he can play DM and dier can cover defence like vs Liverpool.
Janssen is cover for Kane and is over a year late in arriving..he can also be second striker if we going 442
So......CM and the attacking trio has not been improved or suitably covered as currently only Son can come into the trio without weakening it...and nobody can play the CM role well enough to cover Dembele..

Njie Onomah Son is the current 'best' second set of attacking midfielders to cover Eriksen/Alli/Lamela.....yet Njie can't stay fit let alone control a ball, Onoma is a bit light and is potential for me and needs a loan, Son blows hot n cold but I like him....

Not to be dramatic but a few injuries and suspensions and we got a mid table at best eleven taking to the pitch

We have only bought two players mate not enough to put the wind up the top three in this country nor worry those playing us in the CL.
I hope your optimism comes true later this week but in all honesty Im expecting nothing other than book balancing, and i dont expect to be let down on both counts.

Daniel Levy will announce a big signing on Wednesday...Eriksen signing a new contract. 'That'll keep them happy'.

My money's on an 80m Man U offer for Kane rejected on deadline day with Levy insisting we have shown ambition to hang on to our best players.

Dahlia is native to Mexico.

Can anyone think of a decent Mexican player that plays in blue?

I posted this earlier in the window but my mate's agent pal told me that some Prem clubs were looking at Hirving Lozano of Pachuca. They play in blue and he is Mexico's new wonderkid.

The Dahlia flower was first found by someone who's first name was Francisco. His accomplice was also named Francisco and he drew pictures of the flowers and sent them to Madrid

"Spaniards reported finding the plants growing in Mexico in 1525, but the earliest known description is by Francisco Hernández, physician to Philip II, who was ordered to visit Mexico in 1570 to study the "natural products of that country.
...
Francisco Dominguez, a Hidalgo gentleman who accompanied Hernandez on part of his seven-year study, made a series of drawings to supplement the four volume report.
...
In 1578 the manuscript, entitled Nova Plantarum, Animalium et Mineralium Mexicanorum Historia, was sent back to the Escorial in Madrid;[13] they were not translated into Latin by Francisco Ximenes until 1615. In 1640, Francisco Cesi, President of the Academia Linei of Rome, bought the Ximenes translation, and after annotating it, published it in 1649-1651 in two volumes as Rerum Medicarum Novae Hispaniae Thesaurus Seu Nova Plantarium, Animalium et Mineraliuím Mexicanorum Historia. The original manuscripts were destroyed in a fire in the mid-1600s."

Lots of Iscos.
