Perfect through ball pass that split through two Moscow defenders and I love Gibbs saying his nan could've made that pass

I respect that even when he is playing extremely well he'd still stick to his narrative of him being shit rather than those who only rematerialize when he has bad game.

I tip my hat to you @Francis Gibbs
You're a worthy nemesis sir

I just didnt like him taking the pen, was incredibly selfish and not even a good pen. Besides that he was okay, not the best performance but passable. Good work rate

Fantastic performance - totally dominated
1-10 we were fantastic and once again Lamela was a fecking useless liability.
Why give the player with mentality of a jelly the penalty - Poch must have had money on 2-0

Work rate, fitness and ability to press.

It's what won the game.

Why are people blaming Lamela for taking the pen off Son when we don't explicitly designate a pen taker and Lamela had the ball, was walking towards the pen spot and Son tried to take the ball off him.

.... Yep despite Lamela.
Although there was a point today I almost felt sorry for him the amout dogs abuse he was getting - but that soon passed

I'm not a Lamela fan. I've just come to terms with the fact he'll never be Bale. I can't knock his endeavour but I generally think he's reached his potential. That's it. That's all we're getting.

Let it go.. let it goOOO..

Is that true? Doesn't sound very Poch-like.
Pretty certain I saw an interview saying there is a group but he lets the lads decide between them, if someone is feeling it more then they can take it. I remember him saying it around the time of Janssens pen goal. If I'm wrong and Son was the designated pen taker then fair enoug. But I don't think I am, I also think Poch would have subbed him if that were the case as he hates an ego.

Great pressing as always just not as assured with his passing. Did his job though and anyone who can't see he's one of Poch's first picked and most important players just ain't watching

Even if that's true, look at who's been scoring the past few games, it's Son not Lamela. Son at least had a case for taking the kick. If it were Rose or say Lloris who picked up the ball first and wanted to take it, would you be saying the same thing? Even if you say Lamela had the right, he could just as easily have yielded it to Son if he thought it would help the team either way, but he fought him off the ball to take it for some reason.

At the end we won so no harm done but even the Korean commentators were wondeing if there was a problem between Lamela and Son :/

First minute to the 94th he was pressing all over the pitch - yes I was annoyed with some of his selections passing wise but absolutely love his attitude - more importantly so does Poch!
