This guy pisses me off mainky cos of his love for his left foot and refuses to do anything right footed eg the volley late in the game was impossible to hit with his left yet he fucking did it the ****

First half he was terrible but second half he was very good. At times dwells on the ball and takes that one touch extra but he was good second half

The assist was with his right I believe but yeah, it's annoying.

How many assists has he got for us now? So many quality through balls from him, this was just like the one against Arsenal away to Chadli or man.city away to Eriksen. If he had a right foot he may just be worth 30mil.

Needs to play centrally as he has shown his threat from the AM position. I know it was Gillingham but he had 3 assists and a goal playing as a AM there and today had an assist playing centrally.

he needs to understand that dembele is the boss and if he wants to be a boss he needs to start hitting all kinds of crazy volleys and shots with his right peg

Baffling sometimes is coco (as much as I love him). 'Why do anything simply when you can excessively overthink it into deficiency' was the theme tonight.

Its frustrating because for each moment of quality there were 2-3 moments of sighing.

He did get it together though and had a decent period in the second half where he was in control.

Even though he didn't have his best performance for large swathes of the match, when we started getting under a bit of pressure it was Lamela who took charge and was screaming the instructions of pressing, pushing up and not sitting deeper.

If he didn't cost what he did, looked more 'manly' and/or wasn't foreign I swear he would be universally loved for his style of play, attitude and positive influence on results...

As I've said dozens of times in this thread for the last few years, he's probably the only player in the squad who can routinely find a through ball in tight quarters. He's done it countless times for us and is so underappreciated. The amount of games we've won 1-0 with him notching the only assist has to be at least a half dozen in the last two+ seasons. That was his 6th assist already this season in all competitions. He probably could have 10 if everyone finished the chances he created. He was excellent in the second half.

Far from his best last night for most of the match but he was still able to make a big impact on the result with another vital assist. He can be bloody frustrating though.
