Very true, I agree, but I feel like the same could be said for Lamela or Janssen too with the injuries/bans we currently have.

Say one of those got injured we'd kinda still be stuck with something like:

Wanyama
Lamela(?) Eriksen Dele Son
Janssen(?)

Then you're using GKN from the start to replace Lamela or Janssen (Son would go up top), and thus, that's another who is starting tonight (rumour). We're down a couple currently so we're risking someone somehow it seems.

Edit - Ah, I suppose we'd go 4231 with Dembs and Victor, then go Lamela, Dele and Eriksen AM3 if Son goes up top, or we'd go Son, Dele, Eriksen as AM3 v2. Good point!

I sincerely hope Eriksen is dropped for Saturday. It is mystifying that he continuously starts. He's been offering fuck all this season.

Odd how fans see different things. Think Eriksen's been playing his role very well but, like a lot of our team, has been struggling to turn effort into goals/assists.

Much prefer to see his name on team sheet. Much like Lamela. Although I think Lamela makes an impact sub better than Eriksen.

We really do need a defensive midfielder to maintain the team structure. So having Wanyama or Dier to start on the weekend is crucial. We can cope reasonably well if one of the wide forwards/midfielders goes down. I'm very keen to see N'Koudou start in the League by the way.
