Poch not even acknowledging the fans tonight, that is really poor! he is feeling the pressure I suspect

Desperately disappointing all round. Team selection was all wrong. Our priority should have been to win this game, not fretting about Chelsea. Something's gone pretty awry with this team. I suspect there are fitness issues throughout the squad, as they all seem to be miles away from where they were last season.
Things at a football club can unravel very quickly as we all know. Hopefully we're not witnessing the beginning of the end for this team, but...I don't know...

4 away points in the CL group stage is par. The reason we're out is the 0 points at "home". And the reason for that is largely due to the calamitous decision to move the games to Wembley. Levy has to take the blame for that. He's so obsessed with the new stadium he's taken his eye of the present and damaged the club. Poor form hasn't helped, but we would not have lost both games at the Lane, no way.
Levy went to Wembley cos WHL in current format doesn't have the facilities CL demand.
Levy would have preferred to take us to Milton Keynes, a stadium that is so similar to WHL it could have been modeled on it, next season but us, the fans, made it clear that we needed to stay in London.

NO WAY, why? It's another completion we could win and we've not won anything of note for 30+ years I'd very much like us to stay in and go on a run. Don't think wel win the league this year anyway or even come top4 playing the way we are so who cares if we play for games mid-week.

If we can't win or get second place in this group, there is no chance in hell that we will win Europa League. There will be better teams there than in our group. Just look at it, a mid table team from Germany (5 losses in 11 games) takes second place. In points, they are as close to relegation as they are to the first place. (in their league).

I'm not in screeching hysterical mood like some bozos on here tonight but clearly this was unacceptable.

My take is that Poch's heart isn't in the CL and that has clearly bled into the mentality of the players.

We have not taken it seriously enough. We've played reserves. We've rested players for the CL and we've paid the price.

These aren't bad players by any means. But clearly Poch hasn't come up with the goods and inspired them for this. I don't think the quality of our group has helped. It was an uninspiring, Europa League like group and we've come with a Europa League mentality.

We had a great season last year but the only tangible thing we got out of it was CL. Now we've thrown that away to focus on the league, the best we can hope to get from realistically is more CL. What's the point?

apparently players didn't even acknowledge the away support. they should fucking apologise and compensate the away fans out of their own pockets. a completely embarrassing and hopeless performance, the whole campaign

I have to say, I was shouting at the tv as always and I'm obviously gutted, but I've felt differently towards the champions league this year and I think it's mainly down to Wembley. I haven't had the same feeling I did a few years ago looking forward to welcoming teams to the Lane. Obviously the team playing not so great football as opposed to Harry's all out attack has something to do with it I'm sure, but I still feel we've got a great chance to finish top 4 again and we'll learn from this. Finishing top 4 regularly is much better than a one off great CL campaign.

Don't get me wrong, I'm gutted and a bit angry but weirdly not as overly bothered as I thought I'd be. It's all about the league for me and even though we'll probably get no points on Saturday, I have faith over the season. The Europa, if we get there, can be used for fringe players hopefully and get them (and some youngsters) some game time. I'm still hopelessly optimistic.

I can't remember a game where we looked so inept.

Where has our pressing game gone?

Well that was shit! Can this finally put an end to the Champions League qualification is the priority crap. Football is about glory and winning trophies, we must field our strongest team in the FA cup now.

I doubt Poch prioritised this game over the Chelsea one, otherwise he would have started with Verts and Walker.

Fucked that whole thing up Poch/team.
On paper that was the easiest group.

He's got some serious work to do to repair what little reputation and fear factor we built last season.

Playing ropey league games at wembley is embarrassing, horribly so.

Disagree wholeheartedly. Leicester had a cakewalk of a group.

Anyone want to start the Poch out thread?

Seriously though, he absolutely does not have a plan B. Nor a plan A going by tonight.
