Well done Spurs. Amazing game, and Wycombe should be proud. They didn't deserve to lose, but glad they did (for us obviously). This was a proper FA Cup tie that had the makings of a giant killing. IMO, the FA Cup is the best trophy there is to win, it has more history and culture about it than the 'Champions' League. I want to win this thing again so badly. We were made for the FA Cup, it's part of who we are. Anyone who wants to finish 4th and win nothing needs to have their noggin examined.

Ask Wycombe fans what they think of the Cup. Our fans, once upon a time had that same passion for it. Modern football has lost it's way in many respects. Why have modern fans become so arrogant that the Cup isn't good enough for us.

I know some on here will be moaning that we were nearly beaten, but I'm proud of our boys. It was a tough game with largely kids for most of it, then we had ten men, and had to come from behind twice. COYS! Cup ties always used to be like that.

We've got plenty of quality in the squad, it's just that it's virtually impossible to rotate and have a team full of players who haven't had the benefit of a run of games to find their feet play with cohesion.

Some people just can't seem to accept the reality that we have to give priority to other competitions, which necessitates that there be rotation. Everyone would be apoplectic had it been Walker rather than Trippier who picked up that injury. Poch can't win with this crowd.
But if we add say three top quality players who create true competition in key areas of the pitch we can properly rotate even in league games, and not have to make so many wholesale changes in a cup game. Eaiser said than done though.

Not a lot of sympathy for them. If they hadn't done all that time wasting we wouldn't have had six minutes. plus poetic that the guy that scored the og should have been has a second yellow/red for trying to reenact the scene from star wars where Luke skywalker is training with yoda on his back (Dembele is skywalker in this scenario)

Showed the dippers how to come from 2 down too.:D

If Toby got injured it would be worrying times though now wouldn't you think?

CCV very poor today and I expect far far better from Wimmer.
CCV is still very raw; too undecisive.. and it certainly doesn't help with him beside Wimmer who himself is not a regular in the team!

We won, thats all that matters.

No first team players were injured.

Janssen scores and gets a lovely assist.

Onomah is not an AM / wide player. He is a CM, this is the only frustration for me, that he offers very little from wide and would have preferred GKN to stay on.

Winks continues to perform very well and shows real heart and fight.

Dier has turned into a bit of a slow robot for me, seems to jog around and be very reactive instead of proactive, embarassing for their third goal that he gets completely mugged like that so out of position.

Wimmer has no form currently.

Alli is so composed in front of goal, i hope he can lend some of the composure to Son.

How they ended the match with 11 is a bloody joke, i don't care if it's the FA cup, blatant fouling all game.

But at the end of the day.... this is what its all about, what a tie and a lovely way to finish the match with the winning goal.

Not sure of the logic of taking off Wimmer and moving Dier to LCB. Surely ccv was the man to take off as he looked Shakey and seemed super cautious with the ball.

CCV was poor today but thing is, I thought he was our best CB today. Which is saying something considering how bad they all were. Wimmer was absolutely awful. Dier was too when he shifted back there. I dont know what we will do in the league. We need Jan back so badly.

And for those of you suggesting a loss would have been our worst FA Cup defeat ever I give you Port Vale. This was in the days before resting players and squad rotation was the order of the day, when the FA Cup mattered.

The trip home from that one wasn't much fun either :D

Remember it well. 1988-ish. Think Ruddock played in his first spell at Spurs (when he wasn't a fat fucker).

Port Vale Away on a rainy day in 1988 - Hardly a comparison to modern day football. (Though also inexcusable!)
