Matchday forum is one thing but if you bring that shite into the stadium before the final whistle that's another thing altogether. We had the online equivalent of leaving early and booing last night. It was a freak turnaround but while the ball is still in play you have to believe in the impossible. Our players did, and all credit to them.

Maybe I'm being naive but I don't believe this title race is over far from it as it's just starting to unfold.
Chelseas biggest problem now could be over confidence thinking it's done but Bournemouth could force a draw and I think utd will beat them, all we can do is be ready and take advantage.

Love it when people go over posts trying to dig fans out. Lol. Thinking there're all high and mighty for not criticising the team. Emotions are running high It's a fucking matchday forum!!.
For 88 minutes we were piss poor and had every right to comment on that.
This is a Tottenham forum and we're all here because we love Tottenham and have the right to post how we like.
Some posters are negative when things are going bad... so what?
Just because you didn't criticise doesn't make you more of a fan!!!
Last night was 88mins of torture followed by 5 minutes of pure ecstasy.
Lets get one thing straight though shall we, EVERY Tottenham fan went absolutely mental when we won that game. Remember that. COYS.
The rate at which many post in these threads though, just suggests to me that they're spending more time looking at their phones than watching the game on whatever pixelated, lagging stream it's on. Which is why it frustrates many when a lot of these posts are clearly inaccurate.

Yeah we're all spurs but i find the concept of immediate and unfounded negativity, whenever something is ever so slightly not going our way, as supporting your team very bizarre and very unhelpful.

My onions.

Guys, for those that were there or watching the match, what actually happened tactically when Sissoko went off for Janssen? Did Dier go into defence and back to 3421 with Eriksen next to Dembele and Alli and Son behind VJ? Or did Son just go on the right of the 4231? How about GKN when he came on, straight swap for Davies at left back/left wing back?

It's all been a wall of bullshit, this thread.

We've been missing Harry Kane for three matches. Two away. We've won all three. Tonight we were also missing our captain. WTF are people going on about using the pointless word "legends" every three lines?
Should head to Mexico. Some work coming up apparently lol

Thats bollox right there. The piss poor bit not the right to comment. Swansea hardly threatened at all. We were chasing yes and not shooting enough but hardly piss poor.

People use the match day thread as a kind of punch bag to let out and share their fears and frustrations. It is what it is and I don't think we should be too hard on people for using it that way.

We might get away with him starting at home but I completely agree, he wastes any potential opportunity because his touch is poor, he can't get around the full back and he can't make an easy pass count. Total liability for us and if we had have signed Zaha instead who knows, may be we would be a little closer to Chelsea. Maybe.
We certainly would have not been any further away.

I agree, its why I don't venture into it during the game very often. Just offering balance.

Yeah I agree.

In no way were we piss poor. We started strong and got hit with a basic ball over the top. That was disappointing yes, and it allowed Swansea to park the team bus and all the fans cars. It still ultimately failed.

At one point during the second half we were up to 85% possession. We dominated this game, but like Chelsea vs Palace, struggled to breakdown an ultra defensive team. In the end though we broke them.

The willingness of our players to run for that 3rd showed everything that is good about this Spurs side.

I'm sorry, but we were being frustrated by 11 men behind the ball. Even Bayern and Barcelona can appear average in those moments, but it's false.

The only negative that match highlighted (even if it had finished 1-0), was how much we do miss Kane and his ability to smash a ball goal-wards from range. Without that, we become a little easier to defend against, because we always look for another pass.

Anyway, sorry... we were not poor, other than for the goal.

Strange game last night.

We had a couple of early openings but didn't score. They then got one chance and took it well.

Then had a long period of trying to break down a very defensive team. Forgot how good Mawson is to be honest.

Both teams worked extremely hard and naturally we got frustrated. A few stupid long shots and poor crosses just looked like at best we'd get a point.

Really happy with the team's performance overall and any talk of bottle is embarrassing. This team has a work rate and collective desire stronger than any Spurs side I've ever seen.

So the new rule in match threads is no passion no honesty no pain no suffering no actually getting caught up in the game then is it? Only jolly nice posts cheering on our boys from now on, ok chaps, that's the spirit.
It's easy to come on and read back through in the cold light of day and get all superior but here's the thing, I bet most of the people whose post were painful last night got more excited by the win than the sensible people who wait till the end of the ride to make a point.
We all deal with it differently so right or wrong I'd say carry on complaining.

I'm usually pretty passive in real life. But when we scored the second I screamed "yes" at the top of my voice.

When in the heat of frustration I've never felt the want to go on the internet and start typing. Just doesn't make sense to me.
