For those who are pointing out that we always play away at the beginning and end of the season I listened to an interview last year with those who do the fixture computer.

They said they work off many variables and requests from club and police and it was at our request due to stadium work to not play at home at those times.

Happy-ish with Newcastle away first, time to banish the 5-1 memories. They'll be massively up for it with a huge crowd but it's not a bad fixture to kick off with. Good that WHAM away is fairly early too.

Loving our Christmas schedule and run-in.

we didn't really set the world alight with our performances in the first three games, nor did we excel ourselves until Octoberish, (barring the City). We looked very leggy at the start, players not playing well, and Kane didn't really do a lot before and after being injured. Many of us question Erisken etc.
How we finished towards the end of the this season is how we need to start next season, but it's going to be hard.

My only concern are the fixtures before and after our CL games as they were brutal last season. At 1st glance they seem to be ok this time around.

Im on about confidence, it was clear from the start of last season we were still feeling the affects from the results at the end of the previous one.
Anyway, lots of trips to be made this year, plenty of good fixtures early on.
When are the TV date confirmed?

Looking forward to this. We all would have loved a Watford at home to ease in but Newcastle will provide a different proposition. We have to be on the ball from week one.

An early issue with Tottenham's Wembley fixture list, their home match with Burnley on 26 August is on the same day as the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final. The club say there are in discussion with the Clarets over an alternative date.
