I'd so love us to do what Southampton did to Liverpool here. There's no way Levy or Poch would be inviting offers for someone like Dier IMHO.

Doesn't really say that at all.
Makes it very clear that Dier is the ideal signing, but that Mourinho/United won't be held to ransom, and that Fabinho will be the player signed if they can't do a deal on Dier.
If Poch is happy to let him go, then it's all about the fee... Going to be talking £45-50 million and United will no doubt come in at £30 million.

Just read the above article. Part of it states UTD won't be held to ransom.
Totally chilled now. No way Eric leaves. Held to ransom and Levy. Tis' all he knows.

The number is probably around 23 now.
If Dier and Walker both go, you're talking about 100+ million pounds in fees. When you mix-in fees from Bentaleb, Fazio, Njie, Sissoko and possibly Janssen/Nkoudou, you're probably talking 150 million pounds of sales. If that happens, will all of that be reinvested? People would be pretty upset if we sell two top players in Dier/Walker and don't turn around and bring in some serious quality (Demarai Gray doesn't qualify).

Arsenal may have had the same idea when selling the likes of Clichy, Sagna, Nasri, Fabregas and Ade etc.
There's no guarantee our signings will be successful. Especially going by last summer's results.

I'm starting to think these 'done deals' are all where a player's agent says they'd be interested in joining. Problem is there is a third party and that is the club that owns the player: see the Van Dijk situation.
