Probably told by a bellend that thought Shashoua and Lesniak were going to be the next crop of youngsters to break through because Poch put them on the bench. A whole slew of articles came out about them and they all ignored the fact that many of the ones we're actually expecting to push through were all either injured or away on international duty.

This isn't to slag Shashoua, but I don't believe anyone thinks he's in the same crop as Onomah, KWP, CCV, Edwards, etc. and is instead in the one behind and still needs more time for physical maturity.

I reckon you're right. I think people have a tendency to do that. It reminds me of this

Adhithya‏@adhithya35 18 Oct 2016Edwards, Onomah & CCV are the most hyped but I'm looking forward to seeing Anton Walkes progress. Looks good when I've seen him #thfc #COYS

Someone who clearly doesn't know much, has just seen Walkes being included. He isn't well-known so thought he'd go against the grain to look like he knows something someone else doesn't. If Walkes magifcally happened to pull a Livermore he could pull this tweet out smh

Re: Shashoua and I feel a lot of his year group I almost feel they have created a tier between the normal 1 and 2 I mention. I would say he has more promise than Harrison but you're right he isn't among those lot at the moment. He was one of the few to sign a pro contract really early so he is clearly rated but Edwards is real potential quality. Shashoua could be there but as you say is at least a year off being even considered

KWP up until a couple of years ago was in the same position as Shashoua and has been quite slow with his overall development making more incremental steps

I think @Sweech has a fair point. As a 2nd year KWP was running u21 matches from RB and he wasn't particularly big, though a lot bigger than Shashoua. Shashoua isn't affecting u23s matches yet and you'd argue the competition is weaker. Though when he has featured it has been in a more inconsistent team. I would say KWP is at a different level at the same age.

I'm not even looking at it age for age but just saying RIGHT NOW KWP is ahead. As the ITK said Shashoua is a better prospect than Edwards "right now". Which to me seems a bit ridiculous.

I really do think it was said by someone who connected 2+2 to make 5 because Shashoua was on the bench for those last few games.

I know a lad wh was in the accademy year below Onomah said CCv really quick, Onomah was quick and kwp fast over 20m. The lads pretty rapid himself 11.7 as a youth player so CCv must be really quick.

He got released and went with Oxford to West Ham the guy who scouted him and Oxford moved to West Ham. Said Oxford was a really good player.

Series of injuries, club holding him back to play down the hype and i've heard he turned down a £5,000 per week extension to his contract.

Interesting story regarding a former youngster. Back in March central defender and former Spurs schoolboy Ben Goodliffe (18) was signed by Wolves from Boreham Wood. That's the second former Spurs schoolboy that Wolves have signed from non-league. They bought right back Hakeem Odoffin from Barnet (who was in the year above Ben at Spurs).

As for Boreham Wood they've got another former Spurs youth in their ranks in Cheyce Grant, I think I posted about that a while ago, but interesting to note that he's doing quite well and seems to be attracting interest as well.

Cheyce Grant

Defoe Jr. good to hear he's doing well

So is this kid in CCV's year?

CCV is quick for someone of his size, I have mentioned before that Onomah is quick but hard for him to show in CM. Remember England players in his age group saying he was one of the quickest

I've heard his name often but never seen him play. A lot of people have spoken of him him fairly highly as say he's similar to Onomah.

Is that true?

Yes very similar .Imo TOB looks a better footballer all round. But is a bit smaller I think .

I've seen much less of TOB than Onomah, but TOB definitely doesn't look like a better football "all round".
