I think a lot of Spurs fans would be much cooler about this if we'd announced a top signing, whether in Walker's position or anywhere else, before he's let go.

Let's hope there's something good in the pipelines.

As for Walker, I still see him as the only member of our preferred XI who could leave without damaging the first XI too much, thanks to Trippier. But it is gutting to sell him to a rival.

I'd like to think that we have some form of agreement with a club regarding a purchase, which has then meant Levy is happy to complete the sale of Walker.

Great way to start our window, selling one part of the best defence in the league to a direct rival. Really thought Walker would last the distance with us. I do wonder what happened between him and Poch that made him staying here that untenable.

We don't know all the ins and outs, and we never will, but there were plenty of stories about his wife being home sick etc. etc.
Maybe Walker thought he was a shoe-in for the RB spot, and Trippier clearly worked his arse off in training to displace him.
If you aren't happy to work hard and earn your spot, you don't deserve to be at this club.

Reckon we start to get more ITK re incomings now, and something tied up / announced pretty sharpish.

The club's PR machine wont like the "spurs selling to a bigger club" or whatever tag.. or the potential for fan backlash at selling Walker....

Not long now until we hear Foyth is Walker's replacement, we leave ourselves a few players short(yet again), we hear we tried and tried but couldnt get it over the line. People get upset with dear leader, donna makes levy release some kind of statement and everyones back on his side again. Spurs transfer windows. It's a vicious cycle.

We head to the US in a week. Would like to think we go with a couple of new players...

Then we finish 2nd in the Premier League.

Re: Walker -

So be it. If he was being a rotten apple in the barrel then get him out and at 55m that is a nice chuck of change to put in our coffers. I would be amazed if every penny of that went back into incomings, but who knows...

It's interesting you say "people", when it's in fact the same half dozen of you each time. The last three years of going to WHL have been my favourite in 10 years of season ticketedness.

Think you're stuck in the Ramos years pal, might wanna get that looked at.

As someone who can remember turning up at WHL to find Rory Allen and Neil Fenn playing up front, I totally agree with you. Some people will never be happy.

I think it's pretty obvious what happened between them. After the collapse of the previous season the one thing Poch will have demanded was total focus until the end of the season. Seems the rest of them got the message but Kyle started bitching and moaning and probably boasting about what he'd be getting at City. He broke Poch's cardinal rule - and was probably dead to him ever since.

The JCLs and youngsters will never know how we've suffered.

There were rumours of disagreement about the fitness of the player - Walker saying he was fit and Poch and the team thinking otherwise.

Ultimately Poch is boss. And I would literally walk on all the lego in the world barefoot if he asked me to.
