Not outrage on my part. Just really bewildered as to why we had McGee and let him go so we could sign someone worse.
Completely unfair on McGee to keep him here as a 3rd keeper (with no chance of becoming our No.1) when he can start every game for a League One club.

Agree. Which is why I would have let Vorm go and kept McGee as number 2 as Hugo's heir apparent. With cup appearances thrown in.

'Heir apparent'? Lloris could play another 10 years with us. At the end of the day, this is a 3rd keeper we're talking about. I'd rather have an Academy player in that role as well, but it's the most irrelevant role in the squad so it really doesn't deserve the anger I've seen on here and Twitter.

Feel like a waste to have a foreign third gk occupy a squad slot. I hope eventually we'll come to a point where 3rd and 4th gk are homegrown, and on rotation between them on function as 3rd choice while the other is out on loan for game time.
I would have loved if these were Button and McGee atm. Wouldn't play much for Spurs through the years, but they'd have status like Steve Harper did at Newcastle before they actually began to need him.

Pointless imo. Should have kept McGee as number 2 behind Lloris, given him cup minutes and groomed him to be our new number one when Hugo goes. If we seriously want to use our academy graduates in the future, letting promising keepers go is ridiculous. I've seen far more that's impressive about Luke than quite a few other much vaunted outfield youngsters who are supposedly our next big thing.
if Lloris got injured and had to miss months would you have been comfortable with McGee filling in him for?

I would not have been.

I didn't know he existed until know, so I looked him up.
He's born in the same town as Pochettino, which I think has something to do with it. It's a very small town. Population of around 3,000

I think we've got something in the works for another young Argentine who's never played in England, and they see value in having Gazzaniga on the roster to help with that player's transition.

Lamela has looked a little glum lately. Maybe Poch and Levy are trying to recruit him a new bff?

This guy is coming in at the wrong time. He's gonna be automatically hated just because he's our first signing of the season.

I don't see why.
Gazzaniga looks to have left Argentina very young. Besides we already have Lamela, and most importantly Pochettino. What more do you need?

Your not happy with McGee, who played 38 games and got some great reviews in league one but happy with somebody that has played about half the number of matches based on what?

I guess he's talking about the quote of the guy saying he'd have him second choice.

Surely McGee at third choice over some random stiff is a no brainer

i'm not happy with McGee being number two, I am happy with Vorm being number 2. So I wouldn't have wanted the club to sell Vorm to give McGee a clearer pathway into our team, it would have been too risky.
