Right or wrong with what he's saying- we've been paying his wages since January whilst he's been getting massages and swimming in the pool. Just fucken rude.

Whilst i agree with the overall sentiment of what rose says and posts that are sympathetic to what he is saying, can we please stop with this no ambition bollocks.

It's really lazy criticism of what is actually a complex procedure. We're not the only club struggling to secure targets. If you read what players like Morata have to say, or ITK about Keita it is clear that so much goes on behind closed doors that we don't even know about.

This no ambition talk .. is really misguided.
Which is proably a good word to describe our approach to transfers. We aren't just struggling to secure targets, we've completely failed (so far) to secure anything apart from a fat cheque from Man City, I bet trousering that wasn't complex :D

I refuse to believe that its such a struggle that in the whole wide world (well, the EPL at least) we are the only club yet to make additions to our squad of any kind and its bound to attract accusations regarding ambition.

Thems me onions, I think, the tablets haven't kicked in yet

As someone said, the quotes aren't the worst and we will never know the details. 1. hes gone to the sun with the idea of causing shit 2. hes being interviewed, says the bbc stuff again, someone else reports it differently.
We may know more later, we may never know.

Don't have issue with him wanting the club to have more ambition, we all do. We all want world class signings. But to go blabbing to the papers, and that shit rag of a paper as well, is beyond disrespectful. Totally unprofessional.

Disappointed. I hope Poch is too.

He'd be slogging it out for Sunderland in the Championship if Poch hadn't come along. Maybe he needs to stop moaning and actually try and get fit and maybe develop some perspective. He wouldn't have even had a sniff of a successful career up until two years ago ffs.

That's different. That's our reaction as fans, which is likely to be far more emotional than logical.

Levy has played this game for too long now, and it's caught up with him. In truth he did not expect Pochettino to have improved us and our players to such an extent by this stage of the project, but the upsides to that progress massively outweigh the negatives (actually having to build on it).

I posted that I felt this sentiment would spread through the squad next summer, but it has clearly come early and we need to nip it in the bud.

Levy needs to sit down with Joe Lewis and make a plan for working in a market which, he may well be right, is unsustainable but is the reality.

Just saying it's ridiculous isn't going to make it go away and suddenly people will be accepting 13m plus add-ons for their star player all of a sudden

Or old Joe and Levy need to just sell up. If they can't maintain what the market dictates, then you get out.

Reality, add 2-3 players, a RB, Ross Barkley and a pacy CF, and this problem goes away for now.
It sounds as though Rose is just frustrated by the lack of movement.
What's the saying, something like if you stand still you're actually going backwards.
Well we're standing still currently.
Make those additions, and we're back on the front foot.
Longer term, the club have to address how they're going to keep pace with the clubs we're trying to compete with. If we can't match them financially at this point, then we always run the risk of losing out best players to bigger clubs. We need to get more creative with our scouting and transfers, be more proactive, and get players in quicker. Scout smart, buy potential before it is realised and goes beyond our means, create the conveyer belt of talent behind the first eleven.

Sorry, what is different? You have lost me a bit.

Also, are you saying my reaction is illogical? If so, how so?

He's not wrong, the total lack of ambition after finishing third and then second has been absolutely shocking.

It does seem that he would be content to stay if we would even make overtures at staying competitive. Hopefully this will demonstrate to Levy what is on the mind of the players, and that his continual penny-pinching while all of our rivals make major investments in their squads could cause the entire project to collapse. If that doesn't make Levy get off his ass and for once show some ambition in the market, nothing will.

If he's went to the paper, he's gone. Poch is ruthless and won't stand for it. Doesn't want players who don't want to be there.

Unfortunately our lack of ambition is going to destroy best side we've had in years. Dier, Alli..they'll all look elsewhere.

Such nativity and pathetic response. It is best when you don't know the details to keep quiet.

taking a breath -- @GetSpurredOn is right that if the club adds a few of the right players the problem does go away. It is a timing issue with these windows --- if Barkley and 1-2 solid players are added everyone will feel better

What a bloody suicide, club has done this summer ?
  1. Unrealisitic ticket prices
  2. Fuck up in season tickets
  3. Newcastle away ticket fuck up
  4. No RB for 1st game
  5. 0 players signed
  6. Now player revolt
Levy cannot sell Rose now.
I am not sure how Poch will react now with Rose.
I am not sure how fans will react to Rose
I am not sure how will other players react to Rose. They may start getting similar ideas

The only club management can save their face is
a) Stop mopping around & splash the cash
b) Stop any resentment in ranks &give improved deal to shut the players atleast for season
c) Pray to Poch he can work with the team & carry forward

This is the perfect shit storm for Levy. He cannot run away from this now.
He cant run away? He's been doing it all fucking summer. The club is an absolute joke. The players, coaches and fans do not deserve this abysmal treatment. Its a summer of fuck ups from Levy and this train wreck does not seem to be getting back on course any time in the near future.

To be fair to Rose all he has said is what us lot are saying?!

Maybe he's the only one brave enough to upset the apple cart for the benefit of us fans

By different, I mean I agree with you. As a fan I don't want Rose to go, but I'm long past thinking there's any loyalty in the game.

That sense of feeling he should be loyal to us because we 'made him' comes from the emotion we feel for the club.

It just doesn't work like that though. It's a career. They want two things: success and money.

Looking forward to seeing the benefit this has for anyone except Mr Rose ...
