Maybe so (I don't have any idea), but I do know that Poch has no trouble keeping people on the bench for year(s) if he feels he needs toAttitude aside he's an excellent right back

Obviously his comments are unacceptable but as far as I understand he apologised( correct me if I'm wrong) and this whole post is based on the assumption he truly regrets his comments, otherwise fuck him
I feel like his comments were more out of ignorance rather than flat out Hatrid of gay people. You've got to understand he's from a completely different culture, which doesn't excuse his comments, but does put them in context
I also highly doubt many in this forum are at any liberty to crucify someone for using that language and can categorically say they've never used or partook in that kind of language, especially when they were young
The police stuff is obviously bad but not exactly a deal breaker especially if he is cleared
I'm for giving this guy a second chance, maybe with an add on of helping Tottenham LGBT with events and awareness or whatever. If poch believes his a decent guy who's made mistakes then I trust him
There are still many countries in the world and a lot in Africa where it is illegal to be gay. This is difficult to understand for a lot of us but I it can give licence to a homophobic culture in young men specifically. This will improve over time as religion loses its grip and education replaces ignorance.I think I agree. I don't necessarily think that using that word means that he's homophobic. It's a homophobic word for sure, but does it have the same connotations and history as it does in English? I genuinely don't know.
But for me what he said could easily have just been moronic rather than actually homophobic. I'd be very uncomfortable with signing Andre Gray who said he wanted gay people to burn, but I don't necessarily think that's what Aurier's case was
Just sign him and Barkley alongside Sanchez and then close the window so I can stop thinking about this stuff.

He's a human garbage can, but thinking of Aurier next to Sanchez along with Toby, Jan and Rose is nothing short of amazing.
I agree, however i'd say the major difference is there seems to be little evidence of Aurier (and maybe Balde) taking those character flaws to the pitch. That was always there with Balotelli..the petulance, laziness and arrogance.Certainly is a theme of this window, first Keita Balde and now Aurier. Can't knock us for trying to get players of the very top quality that are 'damaged goods' (attitude and or short contract) rather than good but not great players, but I always think messing with suspect characters is a bit too much of a risk.
A lot of Liverpool fans and Rodgers himself probably thought Balotelli would change and would be a steal at £16m, didn't work out like that.
I'll support him and hope for the best if he comes in, but it does worry me...
