It's like Durham on TS. As annoying as it is, I personally don't care too much but a lot of people watch this and listen to TS and base their opinions on what they hear. The average person won't know how good Sanchez is but someone who has a bit of European knowledge will know, but it tends to be the former who watch and listen to this shit. And the young, who are easily led.

Are spurs fans any different though? When we bought toby it was "why are we buying a defender we need a dm".
When we bought wanyama it was "why are we buying a dm we have dier".
Now a lot are asking why we are buying a cb as we need a wing forward.
I'll leave it to poch. He knows what his plans are and what is needed to carry them out.

Agree but that's different to someone calling Sanchez a panic buy to appease the fans when there are 2 weeks left of the window. They're basically saying Sanchez is Rasiak. They have no idea about young European talent. And there are 2 weeks left, not only does that rule out the fact they think it's a panic buy (even the 2 week thing aside, a panic buy would be if we had no defenders so bought one for over the odds just to have one - we have the best defence in the league!) but we have more than enough time to buy in the positions we do need to strengthen.

Basically, that conversation may have had a point if it was August 30th and we had signed Craig Dawson, not August 19th when we've signed one of the best young defenders in Europe. As it was, it was shambolic tv.

The boy looks absolute quality but i'm not sure where he fits in the club.

I really can't see us playing with 3 CBs, especially with a DM as well and certainly not regularly. £40m is a lot for a backup player to Toby and Jan. I don't think he'll expect to sit on the bench. Dier can also cover that role and he's fighting for his place with Wanyama. We may also sign another CB, Foyth.

I wonder if Levy is fearing the worst about Toby and thinks he could go? We know the rumours are that Wimmer wants to go.

Also somewhat concerned that our main target this window was a RB and it looks like we're signing 2 CBs, a 3rd choice GK and a AM.

The question for me is does he improve the team. We get rid of Walker for 45m and bring him in for around the same? He will probably play at RB unless we have CB injuries? So will we see any improvement in the team since the last time walker played. Let's remember Walker proven premier quality and the new boy is a complete unknown.
Look I know we had no choice with Walker as he wanted out. I am just not sure, as of yet that we have improved our squad this season, and I think a lot of our competition for top four have? We still need two top quality players in. And the names I'm hearing don't excite me.

Not as a default formation. I know we do it from time to time. We can push Trippier forward but with a 3 CBs and 1 DM + 2 FBs seems a bit overkill defensively.

Can he play anywhere else? Everyone just says he's a CB. Using him as a makeshift RB with Tripps in RM covering him doesn't sound like best use of his talents.

Except it doesn't work out that way. We all saw it so this isn't an argument, but we can push everyone further up the pitch in that formation so it actually boosts offense.

It's like people thinking the more strikers you put on the pitch the more goals you'll score. Which isn't at all true - football is so much more nuanced than that.
