Yeah I know, but he's not playing at the minute, and Davies has been great. Rose can't just waltz into that position based on last season given he hasn't played in half a year. As well as, taking his comments into consideration, I hope Poch makes him work very hard to earn a role ahead of Davies

Absolutely delighted to be able to say all future references to the playing ability of Davinson Sanchez should presumably now be directed to the Player Watch thread as this transfer is no longer a 'rumour' and he is a Tottenham Hotspur squad member

Yeah, but Johnny Evans fills a need (a CB that can actually defend) for them so I would argue that they got value. He is a known quantity. We expect Sanchez to be better but City can't speculate on CBs any more. They've had far too many duds.

Merson has just this second called it a panic buy and Thompson and Nicholas have said they bought him to appease the fans cos they haven't bought anyone yet. It's unbelievable. Football has changed. They need to get pundits who know about European football. Merson also said it's probably because Toby is leaving.
