This doesn't really make sense, if he's out injured until November realistically he won't be match fit until December. Say Everton refuse to play him unless he signs, he's only missing a few weeks. I could see him signing a new contract in January if Everton still refuse to move on their valuation

Hard to ever feel too much sympathy for a footballer but I do feel a little for Barkley. Think he had shown a very shrewd mentality in homing in on Pochettino and our young squad as the perfect environment in order to help him develop the most, and maintaining that focus in blocking out Chelsea. Could end up that an untimely injury blows it all up.
Stopped lurking for moment to donate £20 to the world's best roller coaster....here's hoping it continues to go up

As much as it sucks, I'd imagine we're keeping him if another wide foreward isn't brought in. He's looked better in recent weeks and it may not work out too badly for us. Remember it took Lamela & Son a season to come good for us also.Any news on any pottential outgoing for Sissoko?? That would be as good as a decent signing if we get his wages off the books

I actually really hope we sign Barkley..injury or not he'll be around the team (which he will know a few already through england) and will be a great 'newcomer' once fit..I almost see that as a bit of a boost and positivity when he comes on for his debut..prem experience too..could he not hand in a transfer request?
