Having never seen him play aside from a youtube video just then, it seems that Gomes would be more of an option to play behind Kane rather than as a Dembele replacement.

"I don't know how good this guy is because I've not seen him play, but I've decided he isn't better than other players who I have watched, even though I've just pointed out that I have no basis for comparison."

And if you don't think/know how good he is then you have a nice surprise to come, assuming we get him.

Not fit to lace Dembele's boots? I didn't see Barca chasing Moussa any time recently.

Also, his range of passing makes Dembele look like a blind man. He's far more creative and dangerous going forwards. They really aren't the same kind of player, even though they do occupy roughly the same positions.

Annoys me when people say "OBLIGATED" like some sort of American robot (i.e. that Daily Mail journalist).

The aim of the window is to have a better 'squad' than when the window opened, potentially we will be doing that people should be happy.
