Maybe we'll give him a call in January too telling him to wait till summer so we sign him on a free. Cos Everton will still ask for £15m and we won't pay anywhere near that for a player with 5 months left on contract and who will have barely played for 7 months.

Disappointing considering what we've been told was in the pipeline..

But on the face of it that's an OK window. We are normally quite efficient at getting rid of dead wood but there's a few players still at the club which clearly aren't good enough.

Signed a RB and a back up striker, nothing in midfield to offer something different.

This happens every year, it's clear we need real pace in the team to scare the opposition but fail to address it again and again.

Surely something gone very wrong today? So much optimism amongst our most reliable ITK's and we sign Llorente? I mean he is a fine player and an upgrade on Janssen but still

I know we announced Aurier today, but it surely felt like that was done and dusted yesterday and not the reason for the optimism and calm.

I'm just hopeful this means Lamela is close to returning to be honest.

We've got a strong squad and Sanchez and Aurier are upgrades in my opinion.

Just surprised by Barkley really - but we all know the football gods hate Tottenham, so his injury being real shouldn't be too much of a shock...

I don't think we were ever gonna get pace / wing forward / game changer, it just the normal stuff we get from levy PR team.... I don't know how this guy still has as many fans... Yes new stadium but the money coming in from tv revenue and CL football 2 seasons on trot with Wembley gate receipts.... where is the money going???!!

Really running out of patience with him, he best get some contracts sorted for Toby, Dier, Alli, Eriksen and Kane so we guarantee none of them go next summer as I cant believe any of them are impressed with not getting that support for Eriksen/Alli.

He's over reacting but most managers want to strengthen their team not just replace players. Look how pissed Conte is and they have done pretty similar busines to us really.
