Tbh I think I'll whole back-line looks abysmal in a back 4. Dier can be immense in a back 3, but terrible in a back 4.

Had 3 CBs though, he looks abysmal in a back 4, imo.

Wtf is a 'normal game'?Trippier hasn't looked defensively terrible in any normal game this year

So anyone that's not our title rivals (on paper, before our average PL season began).Anyone that isn’t ManCity really...You know, like Watford or Real Madrid

He's more withdraw now at Citeh; think that is what Pep want him to play, not sure if he likes that TBH. But I guess he wouldnt lose too much sleep anyways; everyone is clamouring over how good he is as a defender now. Less job, more money, perfect for him.Walker is much better than Tripp, I need to let it go but I'm still annoyed we sold him to city. Yesterday was not even a pen, Trippier wouldn't have even had the pace to get back cos Gray was flying. There was also a few occasions where Walker used his pace to make some very good blocks and challenges on him. I wouldn't be surprised though if Tripp ended up with better stats going forward than Walker this season, I noticed that he doesn't go forward as much for them, he doesn't need to with all their firepower and precision in the final 3rd.

Erm... Tripps got absolutely destroyed against Burnley at Wembley too. I believe one of the ITKs said most teams specifically target him as our weak link.

If we're talking about on paper then Man City aren't our rivals. They spent more on full backs last summer than we've spent on our entire squad. With the money they've spent they should be miles in front of us and they are.
As for Trippier, he's a good player with a great delivery, but limited pace. If we'd had a fully fit squad we'd have played a different formation and he wouldn't have been so exposed.
He got absolutely embarrased by Burnley and by Chelsea. Then against City, he did not even look someone who had any business playing football.Erm... Tripps got absolutely destroyed against Burnley at Wembley too. I believe one of the ITKs said most teams specifically target him as our weak link.
At tleast Walker probably would have stayed in his position. Trippier couldnt even do that against City. He looked like had no clue where his position was, ffs. Worst game I’ve ever seen him play. And I know he is better than that. I dont blame him as he shouldnt have been playing that game, let alone 90 fucking minutes. I blame Poch..................and if Walker was in our team v City, Sane would have torn him to pieces as well.

Walker shits all over Tripps regardless of the opposition or what some stats might try to suggest.
