It’s a sad, sad indictment when I can say, with absolute confidence, that Vincent Janssen offered so, so much more than Fernando Llorente.

Never seen such a cumbersome oaf in my life.
Problem is he was a big fish in a small pond at Swansea. They probably built all their play around him there. And we just don’t do that. He’s lost in our squad.

Llorente is just a lazy ****. We dont help though. He is a strong header of the ball but we don't actually cross the ball.....he is not going to walk it around players...well he will walk...

I’m suffering from mental illness and honestly I don’t know how long more I can watch Spurs/football I’m serious, not joking. I used to watch football because I loved to watch it now I watch it because I’m home all the time and has nothing else to do.
These types of games makes me even more depressed, this is painful.

Honestly I believe that the mentality/attitude is what stops us from winning trophies not because we don’t have the money to compete. We have one of the best players in the world (Kane), a class player in Son, one of the best defenders in Vertonghen and Alderweireld, one of the best attacking midfielder (Eriksen), apparently one of the best managers in the world in Pochettino so honestly we can’t use the “we’re building a new stadium” excuse for very long.

And one last thing, Sissoko and Trippier Out.
Here’s a little pick-me-up for you my friend.

I was chatting to the old man after the game. He told me about our FA Cup run in ‘61 when we were drawn away against Crewe Alexander (another Welsh mob). We nicked a draw there, with them hitting the post with virtually the last kick of the game.

They then came down to WHL where we smashed them 13-2.

Here’s the bit to make you smile, when they arrived in London it was on platform 2. When they left it was on platform 13!

Even our greatest ever side struggled against minnows away.

Have faith, we will smash them at Wembley.

But come on, its' not as bad as Doherty, Rebrov, Rasiak, Booth, Dozell, that Tramazzini (left back), Postiga, Sisso.........ok but still

He's an average player - but he was one o

He was comfortably in our top three players today. That does't mean he's a great player or should be in our first 11 when all players are fit - but it DOES mean that so many people here are viewing his performances through a bias that is simply not related to reality.

Wanyama was comfortably our worst player today. He made error after error and broke team rules - you could see Poch losing it on the bench. But the experts on here focus hate on Sissoko and will be baffled - yet again - when he's yet again selected ahead of the likes of Wanyama and Dembele.

You've got to lose the confirmation bias or you'll just drive yourself insane.

He shouldn't be anywhere near this Tottenham team and I personally think he was in the middle from best to worst performers. Wanyama was very poor and I must admit I didn't see Poch going mental at him. What team rules did Wanyama break?

First of all thank you for trying to cheer me up, I appreciate it
I have no doubt that we will smash them in Wembley I’m just worried about us in the long run, the mentality of many of our players are not right. Even Poch starts to frustrate me with his team selections.

But anyways hopefully you’re right and we end up winning this cup

Standard stuff.

I have no idea about Moura having never seen him but by God I hope he has tons of pace. My gut feel is he doesn't as we don't seem to need those kinds of player
Comments I've read say he is a rich man's Townsend and hasn't lived up to his potential. I sure hope those comments are wrong.

I agree it’s not as bad but when you’re finally see your team doing well you get excited and optimistic.
And also I’m talking about football in general, I’m tired of seeing the bad guys do well

Poor performance. Take the result.

I have had too many poor results down the years - Cardiff in the 70s, Bradford, Port Vale, Notts County, etc in the 80s and 90s, Leeds, Grimsby recently - and a draw is more acceptable than being eliminated.

Slightly amusing that Sissoko still looked miles out of depth against League 2 opposition.
The best moment came when the commentator said “Sissoko cuts into the box menacingly” who then proceeds to misplace a backwards pass towards Dembele straight to a Newport midfielder. Classic.

Man city mugs for paying 50m for trips understudy I was repeatedly told in the summer...lord have mercy.

I'd sell in a heartbeat, rather kwp learn on the job when aurier can't play .

The cm really needs massive improvement. No point buying malcom, moura, or any other attacking talent when you've got that dembele, dier, wanyama, and sissoko Quartet of terror to choose from whose passing game is about as adventurous as a ham roll

I quite like a ham roll but only with mustard. Our midfield has no mustard.

Sissoko was our best player in the first half, the rest of the team were woefully shit, probably the worst I have seen us all season quite frankly.

In the second half Son came on, our team went up a gear and Sissoko stayed at the level he was at in the first half and was quite comfortably our worst player from that point forward, he even managed to nearly meg himself LOL.

I have never seen a player at this level look so uncomfortable with a football at their feet before in that part of the pitch that wasn't a defender.

He is utterly shit, I like the guy, he works hard, he clearly is trying and I can't fault that but he has about as much footballing talent as a league 2 player quite frankly and that was pretty apparent today to say the least.

That's exactly what Poch was referring to when he said that Sissoko is the only player in the squad that can change from offence to defence.
