No, lets. Anyone can come out with stuff like that as if they have the inside track so lets not pretend it was anything other than him lying to the club and to the fans before joining our most bitter rivals. I think you'll find he was hated the moment he did it, not with hindsight. What rot.
How did I do?
I reckon that had he gone there and won nothing, he would be regarded as a figure of fun. There would be jokes at his expense, or he would have simply faded from memory, much like Carr after he went off in search of glory with Newcastle. I think the fact that he won titles and cups with Arsenal is the more likely cause of all the hate, and is something that some fans find really hard to accept.
