Sancho Hudson-odoi Foden all better imo. If any of those players were at a championship club they’d be setting it alight as well.

Three players with far less playing time and experience than Sess, they may have better ability on the ball but experience and maturity gives him a higher chance of succeeding than the others.

If 80% on here can see Sessegnon flaws then surely so can pro scouts. If he was really that good somebody would have gone with a massive offer last summer. The World Cup was first time I watched on a consistent basis and he was ok but I was definitely underwhelmed and that was against his own age group.

Have you ever thought that people on the internet know fuck all compared to pro scouts?

Someone else pays £50m for Sessengon and he lights up the Premier League for years to come - we know how this plays out...:whistle:

Will Man U still want him this summer after 16 months of injuries and mediocre form? Not sure.

My thoughts exactly on where he is at the moment.

Surely for a club with silly money like United, there are better options out there now. Not the case 12 months back but definitely now.

Not really. I’d say the majority view about our players on this forum is pretty accurate. Just because someone isn’t a football scout doesn’t mean they couldn’t be. They’ve just chosen a different profession. It’s pretty condescending to say your average football fan can’t spot a player plus or minus points. I certainly see a lot more sense on here than out the mouth of most pundits with 25 years experience in the game.

There's a reason why the average football fan are sitting behind their screens watching YouTube and pro scouts have professional contracts with football teams.

I didn't say fans can't spot players but if you're comparing I'm taking a scouts opinion over a fans opinion all day because they know what to look for in football players, it's not just about ability anyone can spot a player with tekkers.

I can't see there being interest in him for the money we would demand and I don't think we'll actively push him out. A sit down with Poche and a conversation similar to the one that was had with Dier will sort him right out.

Sess wasnt great at the U18's world cup? Well Harry Kane was truly piss poor at the last world cup.

Also it really doesn't matter if 80%(not sure where you have plucked this figure from) of SCers can see his flaws or not they don't know what qualities we are looking for in the players we recruit. Say what you like about him, but you cant deny he has end product. More infact than the other "better" young players you mentioned in a previous post. United, Chelsea, Liverpool, amongst others are very interested regardless of the very high price tag. If we dont get him my belief is he will be a Yanited player, but we are in the driving seat as things stand.

Not in RS position they aren't. Not sure why people keep saying we could buy this young player, or that young player for that much, when they play in completely different positions.

Also I'd like to know why you think they are better? Better technique? Yeah probably. More pace, power, determination, fitness levels, drive, end product? Far more to it than just being nice on the eye. That is what our team has to evaluate, and there is far more involved than just watching a few games on TV and few clips on YouTube.

Not heard anything regarding our interest in Evans though, and nothing on Lascelles for a couple of years.

Interestingly it was Matt Law who mentioned Cristante first (you asked me who wrote the article @Trix ). Do you think he's got good contacts?

Wait, so only being ok - in your opinion, of course - against his own age group is weighted more heavily than him tearing it up professionally against actual men? That doesn't seem logical at all. Surely doing it consistently at the pro level is worth far more than whatever he does in his own age group.

Tbh pro scouts are very hit and miss. I’d probably say 50% of transfers come off if that. Just look at ours the last 3 years been plenty of flops. I said before I believe Sessegnon will ultimately end up a full back and probably a very good one. For me a player in the final third needs to either have great pace or that extra touch of creativity. If I had the choice of the 3 as AM/winger personally I’d chose Hudson-odoi, but that’s just my opinion.

I’ve never seen him “ tear it up” in a single game. I’ve seen him be in the right place at right time and generally score tap ins. I’m not bemoaning the knack of being in right place, but that’s not tearing it up imo.
