Strange timing, Champions League semi-finals Bayern Munich have named their new manager for next season - Eintracht Frankfurt boss Niko Kovac.
Which means Jupp Heynckes will leave in the summer - just like he did after they won the 2013 Champions League...

Well the Serie A is for me the second most boring league after France, so no surprise there. How can anyone get excited when one team just steamrolls over the league 5 years in a row?

Hopefully they get Real in the final if they progress. Real have a ridiculous knack of being able to "find a way".

So if we had knocked out Juventus, we would have had to overcome Real Madrid (again) and Bayern Munich en route to the final?

Seriously, how much harder of a run could it have been!

The worst thing for me is it could so easily be us

If Lamela had managed to get anything on that ball when it was bouncing on the line, Madrid only scraped past Juve. We could be there. I think us and Liverpool really are at a level now where we can compete for the champions league, fair play to them for actually doing it.

Just overheard one Liverpool fan at my work say, "That means we're going to get to the final. We'll beat Roma". The arrogant prick. Really hope Roma knock them out. Having topped a group with Atletico and Chelsea, and knocked out Barcelona, they're more deserving of their spot in the last 4 than the other 3. Good luck to them.

At least if they don't make it through or even win the competition, we can laugh that they couldn't have really had an easier run to win such a competition. That's the only positive I'm finding right now!
