Got to disagree with you on this, I think he was poor throughout. Obviously there was the error for the first goal, but even after that I remember him losing out to Pogba a few times, and one time when he tripped over the ball on the edge of their box and gave away a counter.
Also - where was he when Herrera scored? I don't know who was meant to be tracking him, so it may not be Dembele's fault, but he was left completely unmarked while Davies focused on Lingard.
As you say you have absolutely no idea who was meant to be marking Herrera but then have a go at Dembele....probably should have re read the post and deleted it if you don’t know who was on marking duties!
I know that if tracking back on the counter, you don’t lose a man like that. In effect his role in defending was to jog back far too slowly. As you say you have absolutely no idea who was meant to be marking Herrera but then have a go at Dembele....probably should have re read the post and deleted it if you don’t know who was on marking duties!
I think the issue is that he doesn't want to stay. At least in the sense that he doesn't think he's fit enough or strong enough to play regularly enough now.We should never pro actively look to sell Dembele. If he decides after the World Cup he doesn't wish to extend contract, then that is fine, but if he wants to stay, we should do everything in our powers to make this happen
He contributes nothing. Fuck all. No goals, no assists, nothing. Yes, on his day he's a fantastic player and it's easy on the eye watching him do his little turn thing (that Parker used to get lampooned for) or ghosting past a player, but those days aren't very frequent. He used to shift the ball quickly, not so much any more, he literally sucks a hole into the team and if we want to improve the actual starting eleven then his place would be better taken by someone whose figures in the goals and assists column isn't a big fat zilch. We should never pro actively look to sell Dembele. You could also label Kante in this bracket, and I would guess if he came here, you're be the first to comment on what a great addition that will be..He contributes nothing. Fuck all. If we want to reach this mythical next level people bang on about then good players are going to have to go. It's a shame but for me, he's one of them, if he scored a few goals and added assists to his game he'd be an amazing player, but 12 goals and 12 assists in 232 EPL games is fucking poor whichever way you slice it.
And this is from me, who hates knocking our players
Then you’d be guessing wrong then wouldn’t you.You could also label Kante in this bracket, and I would guess if he came here, you're be the first to comment on what a great addition that will be..

It's almost as if BC hacked your account and wrote this.

Incredible reading comments about him moving on by some fans after one bad game - a couple of months ago no doubt the same guys were fapping over him when he was dominating in the league and CL - we have some fickle / awful fans
Dembele is quality - had an off day vs Utd but offers a huge amount still
He looks incredible. We've been linked with Sergej Milinković-Savić and I still think he is the best realistic long-term replacement for Mousa. Otherwise, I think someone like Rafinha is worth a go. I still think Dembele has a lot to offer though and I am a big fan of his, he's probably my favourite Spurs player to watch and I was extremely surprised and disappointed by his performance against United. Regardless of whether we sign a replacement or simply add backup, we do need another option in his position though.
