Reckon we will get a fast start and I think the outcome will most likely depend on whether we make the most of it.

If Newcastle manage to keep us at bay for the first 20, then it will truly be squeaky bum-time.

A fair few of our players are posting on social media about finishing the season well by winning our two remaining games.

Hopefully Poch has put the mother of God into them that they have their reputations and relationship with the fan base on the line if they fail to finish in the Top 4.

I'm not at all confident for tonight's game as there has been so little to like or admire about our recent performances. Even in the wins against Watford we were very patchy going forwards and looked vulnerable at the back. On Saturday we were just crap in every department. As others have said if we start slowly tonight then I worry we'll be stuck in 2nd gear again and it will be another frustrating and ultimately disappointing evening. Get the first goal however and we should kick on.

Don't fancy us creating many chances against a Rafa Benitez team though...

I can see the players being twitchy tonight, we never seem to come out all guns blazing when we need to the most, so frustrating. Only themselves to blame though.

Imagine we'll come flying out the traps, but if we don't score in the first 30 we could find it difficult to break Newcastle down. Fingers crossed they don't go too defensive, but I expect they'll turn up playing for the point.

I'm dreading this. Convinced we're going to throw top 4 away and have the Chelsea, Pool, Arsenal supporters and Talksport laughing at us all summer long at least.

Judging by how awful we’ve been while we’ve been fucking about trying to bottle top 4, i have no faith here. I dont expect good performances at all these next 2 matches. I just hope we manage to somehow get top 4.

I thought this would be nearly sold out, there looks to be thousands of tickets still available. If you're thinking of going, go, we need it tonight.

On the plus side, Huddersfield need a point to stay up, they kept City at bay for 90 and won't want this going to the last day. Would surprise me in the slightest/(I've got everything crossed for) if they dug in for another draw tonight. We win, CL football secured and we can enjoy spending the summer laughing at arsenal

I don't think it's quite so easy to say that the players have lost focus, should be angry with themselves, and it's just a matter of them coming out 'fired up'..... There's quite a few of them who look knackered (or completely unfit in the case of one individual in particular.....), completely run into the ground, and in certain crucial positions that kills the team. Maybe they do have a last little bit of fuel in the tank for these last couple of games to get us over the line, but going on the last few games, especially the semi final where they would have known what is at stake, I don't think it's a case of them downing tools, more that certain individuals just cant raise much of a fight.

Hopefully they find something in reserve, but if you've run out of steam and hit the wall then even if you want to raise your performance it's a difficult, sometimes impossible, task.

Point taken, in which case it's up to the individuals in question to put the team first and say they're not fit or too knackered or whatever, and if they can't do that it's up to Poch to pick an XI that are up to the job or, at the very least, have the balls to hook players off early who aren't pulling up trees.

Crowd has a big part to play tonight. If there’s one thing that pushes a team on it’s a rabid encouraging crowd.

I’ve got a feeling it’ll be deathly silent unfortunately with lots of groaning st every misplaced pass.

Will make nervous players even more nervous and lead to mistakes and tentative play.

What did Tom Thumb have to say?

Sky bigged him up showing his predictions for forecasting 6 straight Chelsea wins in their last 6 games played but then added that he got the first two wrong - the loss to Spurs and the West Ham draw. They also said he got the other 4 wins correct but not the scores

Sky then adding that four game Spurs run in last year they lost to West Ham but didn't actually mention it was the only loss in 11 games following defeat at Liverpool.

Then Wise re Poch with the usual 'the board doesn't give him enough money to do the job and Poch is one of those managers who doesn't need the job he could go anywhere.

There was more, I'm befuddled

Some of us have been waiting for that for like half a dozen games now.......

Exactly, which is why somebody be it a player or the Manager grasps the nettle and does the right thing for the team. If we're still pissing around at 80 mins like it's a kickabout in the park and Moura is still on the bench I won't be responsible for my actions.
