Zaha signed a 5 year contract exactly this time last year which was reputedly £100k a week. And Palace don't have to sell. It will cost a staggering amount to prize him away from Palace. I just don't see Spurs being the club to do that.

Matrial's contract ends next summer. Utd have reportedly been interested in Toby and Rose. Less money plus one of ours?

I know where my money's on if Levy is choosing between the 2.

I am not sure how far we can look back at ITK but I was sure that we had ITK in January suggesting that we had some cracking deals pretty much done for this summer and that we should all be excited

Maybe I remember that wrong?

More or less the same every season leading up to the transfer window isnt it? Can only hope it's true, but wouldn't hold my breath

You remember right. I was expecting us to be doing what Liverpool are doing right now.

I don't think Zaha actually wants to leave either.

Shouldn't we all calm down a bit. It's a bit early to be saying we haven't got anyone in yet. Literally, 3 or 4 transfers have been agreed across the whole of the league. If we haven't heard anything positive in a month then that's the time to get twitchy.

Ffs the window has just officially opened, as per my update number 12, contracts first then signings. I expect key players improved deals to be announced soon and the first signings before WC starts.
I know we have been led to believe before, but everything is pointing to this window being different.
Just chill people if no one in by end of June then you can start to worry a bit

Exactly, i think a lot of people have misinterpreted Poch's 'brave' and 'crazy ideas' quotes and really thought we'd be spunking loads of cash before May was over.

They're awash with money from selling Coutinho and reaching the CL Final, plus increased gate revenue from expanding their ground. They also saved a bit on Keita due to Leipzig not qualifying for CL.

Maybe we are but in a different way because our incomings & outgoings directly affect each-other.

I'm probably clutching at straws (again) but if you think about it, we have players that are deemed surplus to requirements, but we'll want to get maximum fees for them. If we announce a signing that pushes one of those players closer to the exit door, their potential suitors will almost certainly offer less than if we hadn't bought someone.

And the same could work the other way. If we sell a player we deem surplus to requirements, say Dembele, for instance. Any club that has a player that we want to replace Dembele, will almost certainly demand more of a fee because 1, they know we need to replace a valuable player. And 2, they know we've just been given £X million for a player we didn't want.

Like I said, probably clutching at straws, but perhaps we're currently finalising all our incoming's (or the vital ones that improve our first 11) , then when they're sorted (behind closed doors) , we line up buyers for our outgoings & then simply pull the proverbial trigger, to shoot everything in one go ?

I think alot of people are worried as the targets we are after can easily back fire and too many seem improbable. Martial is reliant on United actually letting go of a player they want to keep, and it being to a prem team, when has that happened before. De Ligt looks the most likely, but with City heavily interested, it can all change with them spunking 70M. Sess is dead for this season. Bale is a pipe dream. Pulisic has a lot of competition according to Herc. And no real CM that is feasible has been mentioned. All that and Levy's track record makes it hard to fully believe that things will be different this year. I hope it will be, but until that first signing or bunch of contracts happen, people are going to be sceptical, and worried as if it doesn't work out Poch is most likely going to leave.

Hey look, Friday is my birthday and it also happens to be Children's Day here in China. It is June 1st (in other words NOT May) so it is going to be a great day and this year it is also going to be Fun Time Friday once again.
Not ITK but POSITIVE thoughts n all that- I BELIEVE.

But the likes of Llorente, Janssen, Sissoko, N'Jie & N'koudou were ?
No they weren't. Can't change the past however, they obviously had a vision for them at that point in time. Fabinho would've been like a Sissoko signing though (the plan is not obvious nor one that would work) but at least he would've been able to kick a ball straight unlike the aforementioned Sissoko.

If Joe Louis was opening a £ 1 billion pound Casino in Las Vagas......Wouldn't you expect him to open it with a couple of top billing star attraction's . I think he will do that with the opening of our new stadium.
