I'm pretty sure it's standard procedure when trying to woo a player to show them the training ground and stadium and other assets. Just like any company would when headhunting an employee from another business.
I'm also sure United know about it. It probably doesn't change anything on their end. They can still refuse to sell to us. Or, they are actually open to selling to us eventually even if it's their last choice. At the end of the day money talks. They have Rashford and Sanchez in his position. Martial is surplus to requirements. The player clearly wants to leave. We clearly are seemingly ready to front up the cash. Even United can't afford to turn their nose up at say £60 million for a surplus player. They also want Alderweireld. There's too many things in our favour for this not to happen in my opinion.
I suppose the only danger is we get gazumped by Chelsea because I can't see him leaving the PL.
It's vital, especially if there is likely to be competition. Win the player over, like we have with Grealish, and it prevents an auction.
