We really need to stop dropping points to mid table teams ;) We might have to only settle for the treble at this rate!

Just got home. We gave Man u a victory. They didnt play that good. We didnt take our chances.
De gea had a good day.
WTF trippier, that pass is unforgivable.

Should have won this one.

Don’t want to bang on it about it anymore but mike dean is an absolute disgrace of a referee. How he continues to referee top flight matches is unbelievable

Even if I was a neutral I'd be agreeing. I watched him give United an advantage despite them playing two passes after the foul and being in attack. The very same thing happened for us and he didn't bring back play. He is so inconsistent in pretty much every game. I can't recall ever saying that he had a good game. He's arrogant too which doesn't help.

Like many on here who have said this already, the balance of play did not reflect the actual result, and on another day we would have at least drawn that game and would probably have won it by at least a two or three goal margin had we converted at least half of the gilt edged chances we created. In the cold light of day, we only have ourselves for not being more clinical and we paid the ultimate price. Some are going to focus on our record against the top 6 around us this this season and it's not shaping up too well thus far, on another day on the balance of play we should not have lost at home to City and United, and a bad refereeing decision would have seen us get a point at home to Liverpool, but that would have been a lucky point.

It was a great effort and we didn't give up right to the end to our credit and it was a much improved performance in the second half. Man Utd were worthy of their lead at half time but I don't think the margin was as wide as some were suggesting, and those two idiots Jamie Redknapp and Gary Neville are an absolute joke for suggesting that the first half was similar to Spurs v Liverpool game this season. I was at that game and the margin could and should have been wider than it was at half time, against United the way they were going on it was as if they deserved to be at least 3 up at half time, which was ridiculous, they conveniently forgot the great chance that Winks had.

It was also said in the heat of the moment, and I can kind of understand why he said it because he is trying to keep morale up, but as good as we were in the second half, Poch was wrong in his assessment that this was the best half of football we have played under him in his 4 and a half year tenure, deep down he probably knows that too, but I get why he said it at the time.

A result that allows MU to gloat how good they are.

If only Eriksen & Trippier had turned up & we might have won this game.

This was the sort of game when we really miss a proper home crowd. If it was at WHL or the new one it would have been a great atmosphere for the final 20 mins, as we tried to get a goal.

To be honest I'm not sure he's way off. That half of football is up there with some of the best we've played, it just feels funny expressing it as we didn't even score one of the several great chances we had.

But make no mistake had we scored 3/4 second half goals it would of been one of the performances of the season.

That's what makes this loss so annoying. The Wolves game was annoying as it was shit to see us so lacklustre and outplayed in the second half, this was frustrating as hell because we lost 1-0 but it so easily could have been 4-1 to us as well.

Disappointing result but we are still in pole position to stay top four which is essential for CL at new stadium next season. Let's get things in perspective while Guardiola and arab money control Man City & Liverpool are flying , I don't see Man U winning anything of note regardless of who they have as manager. On the injury front looks like we might have to revert to a back three , we are not short of central defenders or full backs.

we can't really afford to let Dembele go now without a direct midfield replacement, £11 milliomn or not( unless we think he is totally not up to the PL anymore)

Don't get this? We had several GREAT chances. The crowd wouldn't have put the ball in the net. The players made chances and had 11 on target (all of which were second half I believe) with the supposed poor atmosphere. Not sure the players could have done more?

We gave a good display but who ever thinks that Mike Dean is in our pocket is massively mistaken.

Martial shows have walked for raise hands again trippier and rashford should have walked for two bookables.

We battered the door down and should have scored but didn't, de gea was the difference if lloris has dived into the ball and not over it it we work have out first draw if not a win.

In the end out finishing was poor and we should have won the game.

Hopefully we can keep ourselves in the top 4 but that now looks a challenge with such a thin squad.

With Eriksen and Toby gone in the summer...things are now looking very bleak.

Stop being melodramatic

Bleak lol - grow a pair, we lost a game.

We are moving into the best stadium in the league - really bleak

Did enough to win 3 games - terribly disappointed with Dean - never once hurried them up with the time-wasting, let alone booking one. Needed to stamp on it as soon as it started. Also failed to give us loads of free kicks, but blew up every time we brushed against their players. Should have sent Pogba off and missed a couple of penalty shouts (I notice match of the day failed to show them too) Our passing first half was poor and Eriksen was well below par today.
