Tough to take. We're a tantalizing prospect but just falling short. Not really us failing, more that the pace at the top is outrageous. Hope this side and manager can stay together. Despite strong performance, we were slack in the first half, Son and Eriksen not at the races for long spells today, and sissoko injury screwed us.

was a coin toss... we had our chances... But couldn't get past the "world's best goalkeeper"

i thot we did enough to earn a draw. felt both teams were pretty even, but... Progba made the difference.

disappointed, but it was a revitalized man utd. let hope we bounce back.

COYS!

Stop being melodramatic

Bleak lol - grow a pair, we lost a game.

We are moving into the best stadium in the league - really bleak

Players don't particularly care about our stadium...hence our inability to sign anyone or to persuade our best to sign new contracts...without top players we will win 0.

How the fuck
did we not win that?

It happens, there are always games like that. They should have tried something else than keep placing low shots pass De Gea, they can't keep doing the same thing over and over when it's not working, not a single one of them tried to lift the ball above knee level.

Lloris played well but wasn't good enough to keep the shot out. That was the difference between the teams. Lloris is the difference too often when we lose matches (for me). I have him down as the weak link at the moment, rightly or wrongly. Winks needs a break at the moment too but injuries prevent that. We've been very unlucky with injuries.

Incredible. lloris our weak link? I know he has his mistakes during a season, but i belive he alone earns us 12-15 points each seasons.

What about Trippiers fuck up yesterday? Losing the ball like that is unforgivable.
De gea was imence. We didnt take our chances.

I'm sorry but this Lloris isn't good enough agenda has only really bubbled to the surface since his drink driving issue. He can do no right. Every error is scrutinised to death whilst anytime he puts in a good performance it's just ignored. Gazza might well take the gloves in the longer term but let's not kid ourselves and pretend that after a dozen good games he's the better keeper. While I'm at it the same goes for Trippier. It's almost like since he had a good world cup and was lauded by the mainstream it's now fashionable to think he's crap amongst spurs fans. "Well KWP had 3 assists in 20 minutes"...No, he had one proper assist and 2 moments of quality from other players provided the other two.

I'm grumpy when we lose.

For those that weren’t lucky enough to see Pat Jennings play then De Gea yesterday was as close as it gets to a second coming. Totally brilliant performance.

The team are a great prospect but as you say always fall short through one reason or another, I think in many ways we have been fortunate not to have had 3/4 draws otherwise we would probably be sitting 6/7th.
Six defeats at this stage is not very good and 3 of them all at home to rivals around us with still 3 big away game's to come we could be looking at 10 defeats by the end of the season and that is not good.
But we have to be thankful that the club are doing their best with what they have and hope they somehow win the lottery.

I'm horrendously grumpy when we used - particularly to United. They seem to somewhat arrogantly see us as fodder for " a club of their size". Berba, Carrick, Sheringham - just hated losing our top players to them. That Anders Herrera guy is someone I wish we would kick in the unmentionables. I love it that Levy has continually told them to get ****ed since the days of Berba. Bale etc etc.

However, have to slightly disagree with the Lloris and Trips observation.

Lloris has been somewhat erratic in general as a keeper over the last 12 months. A top sweeper but surprisingly poor lapses of judgement in terms of timing and positioning for someone generally very good. I mean the World Cup final for heavens sake.

Trips has been ok. Top delivery and ball rotation. Its a lack of pace that can be exploited by opposition.

To be honest I'm not sure he's way off. That half of football is up there with some of the best we've played, it just feels funny expressing it as we didn't even score one of the several great chances we had.

But make no mistake had we scored 3/4 second half goals it would of been one of the performances of the season.
It was a very good performance, but I don't think it was the best half this season let alone in 4 and a half years, at least one of the halves against Chelsea in the league game was better, it is probably more accurate to say that it was one of the best halves we've played without scoring under Poch's tenure.

Can someone please tell me how De Gea wasn't booked for all the shitting time he wasted taking kick outs? Oh ye cos Mike Dean is a weak as fuck referee.
It is disgusting and a complete waste of 90,000 peoples time, but we cant really complain cos when we are winning we go hide by the corner flag.

Difference is we've had players booked for it. De Gea was doing it from minute 1 yesterday and Mike Dean didn't even warn him.

If people still think he's Spurs he shouldn't be allowed to referee our games any more. He gives us absolutely nothing.

Still fuming that Pogba wasn't sent off. Hope he breaks his legs from dancing too much

Are we really blaming Lloris for their goal? Rashford was through and clear and just had to put the ball in the right place, Hugo got to the ball but couldn't get enough on it to stop it sneaking in the corner, had a couple of our strikers done the same de Gea would have conceded.

Noticeable as well how slow Vertonghen was. Great pass though and a very well taken goal.

Shows how far we've come when from a UTD pov that could be described as a 'plucky victory'.
Obviously disappointing but the home form has become an issue this year. We've lost by one goal to Utd, City and Liverpool at home (pls correct me if wrong). I think our record against the top 6, whilst improving from yesteryear; needs to improve if we are to become that next level (trophy winning) team.

We have never had a player booked for taking the ball to the corner flag in the last 5 mins of a game, i wish we had.

You are completley correct regarding the fking ref tho, should of booked pogba for the tackle on ali at least plus throwing the ball away at the same time, the ref let them dictate the pace of the game, absolute disgrace.

I have just seen the goal and it bears out what I thought at the game, if we hadn't lost Sissoko they don't get their goal, before that in that position Trippier always had him there as his outlet.

True and a good point, but Trippier knows Sissoko is not on the field. His mistake.

Mind you, I also think if Poch has played Sanchez instead of Vertonghen it would not have resulted in a goal. Poch opted to leave Sanchez on the bench against Liverpool earlier in the season and I think that was a selection error too. It’s not like Vertonghen has been in amazing form either. He hasn’t played a game in weeks.
