Just brutal to be a fan of this side. Heartbreaking. Feel for the players. We're a better side than Chelsea and just got screwed with everything that's happened over the last few weeks. Fuck you Phil Jones.

They deserved it today, but that's not saying much.
We should of took a bigger winning margin to the bridge it's sad but it's yet another semi-final loss we just can't get past them coys.

Can’t have a dig at players missing penalties, as they have stepped up to take over others.

Would have thought Vertonghen or Toby have stepped up to take one.

Now for Palace. Think we have no choice but to go with our most second string outfit.

More ridiculous and nonsensical overreaction on here. We went to their place with a depleted side, and with some of the players who were starting having just returned from injury, or clearly shattered due to lack of rotation. To take it to penalties was an achievement in and of itself.

Forget this game, the rest of the season is now a worry. We cannot continue with this many injuries. It's not about tactics or bottle or mentality or any of that - we desperately need bodies in or the season could tail off pretty quickly.

Do you know what Im tired of hearing 'I am proud of the boys tonight' after every time we lose a big match. I want to actually win some of these matches. Its getting tiresome to always be the bridesmaid.

Being a Spurs fan is brutal :(

I’ve been saying for a while that we’re simply not equipped to win trophies. You can see it every time we’re in a semi or any pressure cup tie- we find a way to lose. Admittedly we were a bit unlucky today.

I’m sure we will win trophies again but I’ve never felt that it will be this team that breaks our duck, and probably it will be under a different manager.

As I mentioned in another thread - this summer is a crossroads for us. I think the team and squad has gone stale. It needs investment to bring freshness

Dier's not match sharp and if you think Poch will drop him then you haven't been paying attention. Dier didn't have to start tonight, but he did. What were the alternative choices to Llorente?

I think Poch got the tactics wrong. He should have started with 5-3-2. But to be fair his selection has been severely hampered by injuries and there wasn't much more he could do.

Actually, I'm hoping and praying he finally drops Dier to the bench and second 11 - which is because I'm always paying attention to the effect he has on our play. I also know Poch has a blind spot when it comes to him and will keep picking him for a while, so how am I 'not paying attention'? You're assuming I don't realise he's Poch's Golden boy, when I do. We should have played 532 with Lamela and Moura up front imo, we needed long balls and balls over the top, not watching Llorente run in treacle on the counter. And I wish we had played Toby Sanchez and Verts at the back instead with Rose from the start.

Can see why he didn’t start Moura. He was knackered towards the end and had only been on for what 20mins?
why not keep Llronte on then to win those long balls he was beating the fuck out Luiz and Rudiger

And now Talksport winding us up with the no money, Poch has taken us as far he can and we are a final four team at best. Spare me.

Gutted really but fair play to the lads out there for taking it down to the wire.

Knew the no away goals thing would end up being a thing, FFS.

Chelsea are definitely our cup nemesis at the mo.

Two more friggin injuries is the worst part, although one of them led to Danny Rose coming on and being immense.

C'est la vie.

How the fuck can you not be proud of that second half performance?

Jesus... Sure I get it you want a tinkly little cup - but sporting endeavour is about effort in adversity and we just saw one of the truly great efforts in adversity.

ffs

(sorry if that's not what meant lol)

I enjoyed the first half hour of that second half immensely. Great effort.

The last 15 minutes we made it clear penalties were our aim. I’ve always hated teams who do that

Starting to think we are never gonna win a trophy again, feels so sad that our best squad in years, yet we just cant win anything. how many SF defeats is that in a row? we just get tough draws constantly with no luck.
when Arse were winning the FA Cup, 2 seasons on trot look at who they had in final - Villa & hull - the last 3 SF we have had we had Chelsea twice and utd. The last 2 finals, Chelsea and Utd.
We need a bit of luck to get our first trophy IMO or we just going to come up short constantly, we don't have that winning mentality but fair play to them 2nd half, they gave it a go but just didn't have anything left for the pens.
I do really worry about Sun though, genuinely our season could be over come sunday evening
