look at liverpool. they gave up league cup and fa cup deliberately to avoid fixture pileup and injuries. they will give up champ league as well i reckon.

We were running on fumes towards the end, we would have done well keeping them out for another 30 mins to take it to pens under the old rules having made our substitutions. Brave effort though as many were writing us off completely at half time this evening.

It wouldn't have gone to extra time.

Yeah. Compared to Liverpool who play one game in ten days we’re playing four in ten!

Quite. I'm sure I posted here (or thought about it): how nicely rested are that team? Them and Sports Entertainment Brand Manchester United. We, on the other hand...

A game of 2 halves which showed why Poch does need to strengthen and why he thinks he doesn't need to. Shambolic 1st half but showed good fight in the 2nd led by Rose. Full strength team and I think we would've won the tie.

I hope Poch and Levy don't allow the 2nd half to paper over the cracks. We desperately need reinforcements and Poch needs to not be so stubborn and look beyond his shortlist of the elite players. Levy needs to point this out and attempt to get a good enough player (or two) who Poch will be happy with, even if this means going a bit over budget.

We are the 10th richest club but don't spend like one, new stadium or not.

Oh, abolishing the away goals rules bloody sucks. Trust us to miss out.

Good. Much rather we play more games. I’ve never sat watching a game of football and thought I’m so pleased Tottenham aren’t playing today.

We ain’t winning no league anytime soon, so it doesn’t matter if we have a few rested for some mythical title challenge. I want to win a trophy, more games means more chance of winning this ever elusive poxy fucking trophy.

Lose to Palace and I’ll be royally pissed off. Fuck the top 4. I hate that finishing 4th is so important in football.

Fuck all you negative ****s on here.

Sarri's comments might win him the league cup but they will cost him his job.
Look at our record at that shit hole .. it ain't great is it.
We are doing our best in a really bad situation and we came close.

fuck all you doubters because we don't have billions and we don't play this game in our computers.

I trust in Poch and Levy and fuck all of you who don't.

They are in their 15th cup final in 16 years. We’ve had 2 finals in 16 years.

Sick. Injury crisis and son leaving has fucked us over from getting to a final. Good 2nd half but not good enough

Jamie Redknapp said that it was a shame for us as it was like facing Anthony Joshua with one hand tied behind our back.
In reference to injuries to our key players
You've got more tolerance than me, old chum. I switched off as soon as Sideshow F****** Bob scored his penalty.

Said it all summer, that it would be the big moments where we would rue our business in the summer not at the beginning but at the business end where we just need that little bit more to get over the line. People just dismiss anybody who suggested it and then try and take some pathetic moral high ground because they're more willing to put up with the negligence of it whilst wanking themselves off because we beat 2 shit teams and a terrible United in our first 3 games. I love Poch to bits but he is being way too prideful if he feels that we have enough going forward, our midfield has/had 3 players with a history of big injuries and now one has gone and our players need help.

The last 15 minutes we made it clear penalties were our aim. I’ve always hated teams who do that

Is it not possible we might have just been a tad weary last 15 given everything the squad been through?

Two forced changes again tonight.

Incredible performance by the guys. They leave everything out on the foeld

Can see why he didn’t start Moura. He was knackered towards the end and had only been on for what 20mins?

What's worrying though is how different is this sort of performance to a lot of his recent ones prior to his injury? Not very to me. Seems to always just jog around as opposed to running around with intensity.

Unfortunately he just irks me at the moment and it might be because we've already seen better from him so maybe expect better but even his body language or lack of movement on the pitch I don't find to be as it should. I always think he should be frightening the life out of most defenders but he does nothing of the sort.

I just can't even remember him squaring a defender up out wide and trying to beat him round the outside or anything which seems like something that someone with his pace and ability should be doing often. Or even him getting the ball down anywhere on the pitch and travelling well with it.

Yeah I think that can be questioned. Obviously we all saw the first half, but he'd just scored and was starting to make a nuisance of himself slowly. Winning challenges outright, or causing enough disruption for us to compete for the second ball. Plus he's an experienced player and stuck away a good penalty in the cup match at MK.

But then if it's in Poch's thoughts to play him at the weekend, three games in a week he might need managing.

I dunno, you can argue it either way..... I'd have probably kept him on though.

Also I don't think Llorente can play much longer than an hour. He was totally gone at Fulham by the end. I'm probably a bit biased as I'm not at all convinced Lucas Moura is up to it, but I wouldn't have taken Llorente off unless absolutely necessary. Also Poch wasn't helped by how poor Lamela was, so once Nando was off we had absolutely no way of getting out.

While all very valid - take the night off.

These last 2 windows will be the last nail on the coffin if we don't sign any player.
I see no reason why our best players would want to stay (except Kane)
The new stadium is not a good enough reason to stay
