How is this constant anti-Spurs talk allowed on sky, i swear if we’d got through tonight it would still be about 95% anti-spurs waffle

OK grasping at straws time, despite the loss hurting. Poch DID change his formation, even if he didnt really have the bench to make it work. We lost 2-1 to a pretty much full strength chelsea side with our barebones squad. Out on penalties in that scenario isnt a disgrace. Clearly the youngsters have a way to go in improving, and there are positives to take from it, even if it doesnt feel like it. Son will be back soon, Its unlikely but need South Korea to lose before the final. One thing we will need is a win against Palace to build some confidence in what we have, so they believe they can make do. Time for the sleeping pill, and bed.

Call me old fashioned but I always think you have a better chance of winning a shoot out if a) your shot is on target, and b) your goal keeper at least dives one way or the other. (Edit- aside from the pens Gazza played well. His distribution is wayy better than Lloris imo.)

Diers penalty was woeful.
Gazzas keeping in the pens wasnt great.
Mouras pen was not 'a great save' Alan Smith, it was a shit penalty which was about 4ft from the post. Any keeper diving the right way saves it.
Our first half performance was painful but proud of how we played 2nd half.
Chelsea were rattled after we scored.

Playing Arsenal, Chelsea home and away and then Man City in the final was never going to see us lift this trophy even if we'd been full strength. I mean who the fuck gets a draw like that???

I dont give a shit about the hame this weekend or the CL.

Get the fk out of them all, concentrate on bringing CL home to NWHL next season and forget about cups because we just dont get the luck of the draw ever.

We are without doubt an unlucky club.
4th but 5th win cl.
Away goal rule abolished, sorry.
Honestly you couldnt fkin make it up.

It’s a Mickey Mouse Cup, I’m not even sure what it’s called anymore? The name changes every year! The last team to win the Carling Cup was probably us. We’ll just have to win the treble.

This 'great effort, even though we lost' mentality needs to change. Sorry but I'd rather be proud of the team for actually winning something. We've all be extremely patient, some more than others. While i dont subscribe to the idea we must win a trophy or we lose Poch/Kane/Eriksen etc. We need to stop falling at the semi final stage.

We arent spurs of the 90's or early 00's where a semi final was enough for a bus parade. We're very, very good. But with a bit of investment we could be great.

10th richest in the world. Im not niave enough to think that the stadium isnt massively affecting our means in the transfer market, but for fuck sake.

Lol.

My Aussie Rules side - Hawthorn - have been the most successful Club in the last 50 years. I've spent my entire life watching them win everything all the time.

The best "moments" are watching when you're not the "best". When you're up against everything.

Make no mistake - we were up against"everything" tonight. And we did ourselves proud.

Sorry you don't get your twinkly little cup.

We won on away goals right? Bet we go out of the Champs League on away goals. Anyway, anyone notice we were 8-1 to qualify at half-time tonight? Chelsea were 1-14 on. Ridiculous.

Gotta say the players out there tonight, I know there was some sluggishness but fuck me that 2nd half, proud of the team, all you could ask for was them to go for it, don't think their mentality can be questioned on that front.

Can’t wait for post match when asked about squad and signings. “Always hard in this minute”. 4 big clubs in Europe have just signed players in last 48 hours. Still, always hard.

These last 2 windows will be the last nail on the coffin if we don't sign any player.
I see no reason why our best players would want to stay (except Kane)
The new stadium is not a good enough reason to stay

Agree 100%
Eriksen, Toby are off in Summer already as we know.
Others will follow and I cant blame them, we are not winning anything without serious backing, we will sign players in summer without a doubt but only with the funds from Toby/Eriksen sale.
The stadium whilst amazing, has come at such a bad time for us, I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but we were so close and that is what hurts the most.

We needed to be clinical, unfortunately the chances fell to Llorente and Lucas who are completely out of form. Overall the game went as we all pretty much expected with out depleted squad, we did however show up in the 2nd half and gave it a proper go and almost snatched it away from them. Disappointed to be out, but penalties are always a toss up.

FA Cup up next, got to make sure to get through now.

We lost because of our players that were missing tonight not because we our squad and spending exceeds that of Chelski

We had full strength team against Utd in semi final of Fa Cup at ‘home’ against one of the worst united sides in last 40 years. Don’t kid yourself.

He's short in some interviews yes but that's understandable.

He's given the media far more soundbites and been totally fair to them in the past anyway.

Plus the shit the media have shoved in his face about going to Man U might have pissed him off a bit.
