The big Danish lad in midfield at Huddersfield looks like he has potential.
Billing? I always think Mooy looks decent as well.
Bale is a far better player than the one that was with us.

Bale and Kane upfront would be frightening.
Bale kane

Ali
Son?!

Front 3: Son, Kane, Bale
Midfield: Dele, Dier, Winks
Defence: Rose, Vertonghen, Sánchez, NEW
GK: Lloris

Gazzaniga, Trippier/KWP, Davies/Foyth, Berge/Wanyama, Sissoko, Lamela, Lucas/Brandt

Sorted.

Edited for subs/squad options and RB tweakage.

I'm *very* tired of hearing Poch and others complain about how difficult it is to buy a quality player that will be a backup. Today, Chelsea brought Kovacic, Pedro, and Loftus-Cheek in off the bench. All three of those guys would go for 40mil or more. Then, Liverpool brought in Firmino, Lallana, and Milner as subs.

With CL and domestic cups to fight for every year, there are enough important matches to go around and even the crankiest divas will get enough game time.

Kovacic is on loan, RLC is a academy product & Pedro is now 31.

Firmino is a starter for them normally and lallana and Milner are injury prone or old.

Our bench in a fully fit squad matches up.

We had Lamela & Lucas on the bench on Saturday, that’s £50m worth of talent.

Agreed Poch does do well on the coaching and developing side of things. By going that route again though, all we are doing is going through that cycle again of two or three years... young team, inexperienced team and basically not progressing and potentially going backwards

I do feel we have missed a trick with this team in the last coupe of seasons, i think it needed a couple of top quality players and with that in mind i think we could have really gone on to win one or two things...

Think we need to hit things on both fronts. If we can get a top quality player then great.

But we need constantly look for quality young players and integrate them into the team.

If Onomah, KWP etc aren’t going to get minutes then we need to buy players who will.

I'm in les arc chatting to a spurs fan as I rant about yesterday.

He reminded me that even our chaff looks odds on to get top four. The players we can sell like tripps would be a weapon for an Everton. Which was us a few years about.

I do feel we don't have an x factor though. Regardless of obvious quality no one really gets me off my seat.

Equally I want the wanyama and Dembele type duo back, that season I backed our CM against anyone and it allowed others to express.

It's hard but any area we can upgrade on we should. The policy should be starters only
Ah, the old 'bums off seat' complaint. Haven't seen one of those in ages.

If only it were this easy to sell players. Unless they're getting a better offer, they stay where they are on their nice contracts.

Im all for getting a combination of both, experienced and younger players... I just dont think we can get in a younger player to replace someone like Eriksen for example - that would weaken us as a team...

I think Centre Midfield is an area where we need to focus on and thrash out on... same as the wing backs then every where else perhaps get in some younger players who we would trust to play

I know The Mirror is hardly the bastion of truth & integrity but.....

Bale AND £50m for Eriksen. Surely worth contemplation?

Hold up, 50m + Bale for Eriksen!? I'd snap their fuckin hand off.

I can't even fathom how much of a valuation that puts on Eriksen. How much is Bale valued at right now? Surely he's still going for around 70m in a straight transfer so does that mean Eriksen is worth 120m.....with only a year left on his deal? Dunno about that but if RM wanna pay it then it's got Levy deal written all over it.

According to a report on BBC text this morning, Bale's transfer value has dropped to £63m.

Absolutely. You would have to think we could rind a decent CM replacement for Eriksen for £50m and with Bale up top thrown in it sounds like the deal of the century.
