I just don't understand how a club that is the 15th richest in the world can be doing so badly. And that was the ranking before we published our figures. It's bound to be higher than that now.

You've got Robbo, Jenas, Bent, Defoe, Hudd and Lennon all with confidence shot to pieces. Dawson, Kaboul and Chimbonda clowning around at the back and making school boy error after school boy error. Berbatov who looks like he couldn''t give a shit. Bale looking like he'll be out for a good few weeks. Journeyman sub rate midfielders in Zokora, TT, Malbranque.

Where's the hope?

Jol has brought this whole situation on us and himself, primarily by not dropping Robbo, ages ago. He's let the total lack of our goalkeeper's form and lack of confidence permeate throughout our defense, totally destabilizing it (not to mention costing us vital points); it then runs through our midfield who become more anxious about protecting our back four and then hits our strikers who become demoralized, because how ever many they score, they know we're gonna be letting more in at the our end.

Jol has got himself the sack...and he will get the sack. It's a shame, we all love him and we want him to be great here and stay with us, but his stubborn insistence on this key issue has fucked us...and fucked us good and proper.

We are in a very serious predicament, there is going to have to be a lot of introspection/soul searching and psychological healing to raise us out of it.

i would actually buzz off this if it was on a temporary basis. But alas i don't think he needs the stress in his life.

The root of our problems are on the training pitch and I don't think there are many better coaches around than Venables. Get him in, won't take much convincing to jump McLarens sinking ship, may as well join ours

Our problem isn't Robbo (he's been fine for the most part) or Jol. The team lack confidence and I feel it's partly because the fans lack confidence. All it's taken is for the press to get on Jol's back for a few weeks and we've started to destroy ourselves from the inside, rather than getting behind the team and ignoring the BS.

Our performance at Anfield was amazing and it took us 6 months last season to play that well. We've done it in 2 months, okay that's still too long but it's 4 months quicker than last year.

Also we're only 2 points off our tally from the same games last year. If we were truly relegation candidates we'd have a lot less, and we'd be turning in bad performances. At this rate we might finish 6th but I see signs of improvement and we could finish as high as 4th. The only way to do that is to have some self-belief, the current attitude WILL be out undoing if people don't snap out of it

wtf relegation??? After only 10 games even the media isn't talking about that. To be honest I was expecting to much from tonights match. If we had got a draw that would have been a good result. Newcastle haven't lost to a London in about a year. Jol is the man even if this season turns out to be a bad one I'll stick with him. He has had two 5th place finishes he deserves more time. People have short memories.

I wondered who was going to be the scapegoat with Robbo not playing, but astonishingly it is still Robbo.

We have not spent wisely. The problems we have this season were apparent last season, and we have spent a vast amount of money without addressing them. More money than sense, as the saying goes.

I'd rather look at the table in may than make rash judgments now. Last year people were saying Jol should go after 7 games. Even seventh wouldn't satisfy some people here anyway.

Relegation ? Possible but not probable. Hansen said a few years back 'You won't win anything with kids' ! He was half right, but the major flaw in his argument was that the other half of the team were experienced players !! The problem with us is that we don't have any players in that mould, except Jenas, and who wants that ****'s experience? We have been sold down the river by the board who have invested, not in the future of Tottenham Hotspur FC, but ENIC, by this I mean they have bought young saleable assets not players that will bring their experience and their want of success to the club, it was laid bare in tonight's abysmal shower of a performance. Jol has said himself what many of us have been saying for ages now -- we need a leader in the team, a REAL captain, either at the back or in MF, but all we have are kids with potential high on Haribos with no father figure on the pitch to tell where to go or what to do. I'm afraid the greed of Levy's financial backers and the clueless, panic stricken pursuit of instant success may ultimately lead to our doom !!!!
