Top coaches change things on how the game is going not the scoreline.. Unfortunately Poch failed us today, liverpools full backs had the freedom of Anfield and Poch was like a rabbit in headlights..... Very very poor by him today

This is the season all the fine margins are going against us. Son makes it 2 nil and we probably win.

Once again people, when me and Shady are taking the same line on something there must be a fundamental, universal truth to our rare agreement.
I always see that as a sign that I should re-examine my initial position. But to each his own. I can't imagine it happens frequently to you though.

I thought it was a reasonable choice not to start him today. He played hard midweek, he's just back from injury, he's not up to complete fitness and pace of the league, and it his first game at Anfield. I didn't expect him to start. Based on ability yes he should start but it made sense that he wouldn't today. The issue was that he wasn't on at HT or at least warming up considering the 'performances' of others in our MF.

Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose has had a pass completion of 17% during Spurs’ game against Liverpool.

Sums it up, Why Poch still picks him I do not know, thankfully he’s suspended next week

it was 59% according to WhoScored.com

Yawn

See you again Next weekend for more thrilling moaning with poch still being the manager because Levy isn't a fickle fuck and is going to give him the whole season at least.

keep goin round and round saying poch out, eriksen out , Santa Claus out etc etc
its such a boring read
Sorry that you're being inconvenienced, kaz, it's just that the poor sods who go to our matches on the regular (not me: I'm lucky) are getting charged through the nose to watch a football club that isn't close to being managed with a competency level commensurate with our ticket prices, so I guess they're probably within their rights to complain about the two people whose mismanagement is giving them a pretty expensive way to feel miserable at the moment.

Poch set us up defensively and it worked out well when we scored early but when the tide changed he couldn't react quick enough. If he would have pushed NDombele more forward and got Lo Celso on earlier maybe we would have put pressure on Liverpool more than we did in the second
What? Did you not see the siege mentality on Gazz? Like we were just offering them loads of options and played with luck again - Poch created this, but that didn't make it good at all! When has Poch ever changed something for the better or ever react quick enough.

Thought we were unlucky.

Rose, Son and Aurier had chances to get the 2-2.

Son had a chance to make it 0-2.

Liverpool always seem to get what they need but I don’t think they are as good as they think they are.

I don't think Eriksen wasn't given everything go forward. He was just completely shit on the ball bar maybe one passage of play. Son gets away with a poor effort defensively every game.
Id rather a poor defensive effort from Son every game with great attacking effort than average defensive effort from Eriksen and woeful performance going forward. End of the day the game is done, Eriksen being picked today over Ndombele or Lo Celso will be a head scratcher for me for some time

I wonder how Winks would be perceived if he was a 23 year old French midfielder.

Definitely gets off the hook more due to being 'one of our own'.

Absolutely bang average in most games - not even sure what he is.

Poor recently to be sure, but he (and Dele and even Eriksen today) is being put in position to fail with the way we are set up.

Great effort from those who play for the badge and the club.

However Eriksen has no place in our team and I am starting to think Winks doesn't either. I really fail to see anything special in him bar being one of our own. He put in effort no doubt but he was all over the place and Gigi and Henderson had their way with him. He simply doesn't work next to Sissoko.

And if Poch wants to keep his job he better learn some in game management. When Liverpool equalized he was glued to his chair and JP was up and shouting to the players. Screams volumes if you ask me. His subs were late as always, his selection was wrong and I have no idea why he made 4 changes to the team.

I think that's the major problem. Yeah, Winks might not be a superstar but we need to hold on to him to have that HG squad player. It's the midfield that's needs to be reconstructed around Ndombele.

We just needed him to come on early even at the half and then Moura of Lo Celso and have gotten more fluid going forward.
Poch gamble on defence….and lost
I agree at half time the change should have been made. But what is the point in starting someone who is gonna be out of steam before the end of the first half. No way could he have covered the ground of sissoko and wink in the first half. Winks was no good on the ball but I still don't think having a tired Ndombele would have been more use to us at 35/40 mins.

Son scores that open goal and its 0-2, small margins. What a kick from Gazza by the way!
Liverpool were just chipping hopeful balls forward for most of the game, just our full backs can't defend anything at the moment.

We were tactically shite and the lineup was obviously wrong. Not starting at least one of those subs makes no sense.
