In an attempt to try to gauge the general opinion on here about Jol I've put up a poll.

This is just meant to be a quick census of where we're at now and is related to the following post from DarrenA from the THST.

========================================

Trust Chairman Daniel Wynne has been quoted in todays Mirror regarding Jol.

Here

please have a look and let us know your thoughts as we need as much feedback as possible on this one.

In your opinion should the Trust be continuing with the same kind of message or do you feel the time has now come for us to call for the club to make changes quickly.

anyone wanting to contact Daniel directly can do so on his trust email account which is [email protected]

please note that Daniel is out of the office today so there may be a delay in him replying to you personally which he does to every email he receives

i voted "No, he deserves until the end of the season and we won't get a caretaker any better" as i cant see anyone wanting the job at the moment, im undecided on jol at the moment, i think im letting my heart rule my head, i want him to succed but its looking less likely every game. saying that though, who is there to take over in either a caretaker or full time position?

If we're being dreadfully honest though, isn't there more power in a dead lightbulb than there is residing in the Trust?

I think he should go, not because he isnt good enough, but I think the team has been grinded down and we dont have the players that can battle their way out. We need some freshness to boost everyone. Its either got to be a new manager, a new player (obviously cant happen until Jan, and where do we find this player?) or a new coach. Someone needs to get the guys going, and I dont think anyone at the club has shown they can do that.

I've been backing Jol all season, but I'm starting to think it's time.

Problem is - who's going to want to come in now and do the board have the stones to ditch the DOF and go all out for the man they do want?

All things being equal, ie there was an ideal replacement, I voted for him to go as he is not good enough.

Not a knee jerk reaction but something I thought about since last season when, even when we were winning, cracks were being papered over, and always knew it would come back and bite us in the hind quarters. Saying that I was willing to give him until the end of the season, but not now.

Go now. Players are not robots and clearly the recent farcical boardroom shenanighans are affecting performance and dare I say attitude.

He should go with good grace and stick it up Spurs somewhere else.

As for a caretaker - look no further than Clive Allen.

I say Yes, due to the board interferring his position is untenable and he should walk. We need to do something to salvage the season, if we don't make Europe again next year, we've fallen well back in our plans and bargaining positions with players.

I would say lets play the blackburn game and see what happens. If we win he stays, if we lose then let him go.

It pains me to say this but…

 It’s over…

Clive Allen until the board of clowns can source a top quality manager (not that I’m convinced they are capable of doing that but what other options do we have).

went for , Yes, due to the board interferring his position is untenable and he should walk.

He's done great for us but the behind the scenes situation means there can only be one outcome, unless of course levy sells up and the new owners want to keep Jol on

I wanted to vote yes, but with the proviso we have someone to replace him with, otherwise my answer is, don't know.

I think we need a change. I'm not sure whether the problem lies in the loss of influential players like Carrick and Davids, the current squad not being good enough, the current coaching set-up not being good enough, or the boards actions in undermining the unity of the manager and the team. It may even, as is perhaps more likely, be a combination of all these factors. What remains for me is the truth that we have 7 points from 10 games, are not good enough as we are and don't look like getting better. We need a change.

I love the man, my heart doesn't want him to go, but I am beginning to think that others have made it impossible for him to do his job now.

yep, it's the board's fault.

Pretty much, yeah.

School-boy like personnel management. In fact I reckon I could do a better job. Seriously - the way that they've treated what is supposedly the most important non-playing asset is horrific.

Why do you think all the messageboards, pubs and newspaper inches are full of words like "undermined" and "untenable". Well, it's because the Board have completely and utterly undermined Jol, to make his position untenable.

The people who deserve the ultimate finger-pointing are the Board members.
