That was funny, he did the whole interview in spanish then the last question was about him learning english, he spoke very good english in my opinion, he told the media he prefers to speak to them in spanish but the players understand him perfectly well.

Presumably because the media are likely to jump on any mistakes and twist his words i think! Playing it far safer by staying in Spanish.......no doubt they wil somehow pick up from the interview that he said 'Tottenham WILL finish in the top 4 this year even though Martin Jol made a complete hash of the first 10 games' bunch of nobs......

Good press conference and looking forward to tomorrow :)

That's not true. Benitez spoke some English when he arrived. In fact he has never used a translator.
Ramos is articulate when talking in Spanish but he is 53, a bit old to learn well a foreing language as different from Spanish as English is, but some people manage.

my dad learnt to speak italian at 56 and is now fluent.
ramos will be fine.

I acquired a Rosetta Stone CD which i can burn for Ramos, if he wants.

He might end up like this, though:

Ok, I've got an axe to grind.....Comolli appeared/sounded decidedly uncomfortable about answering whether there was any embarrassment about the process of sacking Jol. Entirely unconvincing. Wasn't the performance of a guy on top of 'his game', nor one worthy of the title 'Director'. Out of his depth me thinks.

The guy is having doubts. 'His game' will bite him.

Couldn't understand a word he was saying. But enough about Poyet, come on Ramos, show us what you've got

There's a torrent of it up at www.SpursOrNothing.co.uk (mods take this down if it's inappropriate).

Video is ITV's coverage of last Thursday's events as they unfolded mid-match, plus the SSN breaking news of Ramos' appointment, then today's press conference.

What a joke. And what a surprise Levy didn't put in an appearance.

Impressed by Ramos, though.

I did not ask for his account id, but I asked for a username and password we all could use so that we did not have to register an account just to download this torrent.

So the technicalities of setting up an account are beyond you, or you're too fucking lazy?

You haven't missed much. Ramos came over very well. Comolli came over as a shifty duplicitous ****. Levy was nowhere to be seen.

Comolli is next for the knife in the back, I reckon. And I really won't be sorry.
