Considering there are zero interactions on this tweet, it looks like I'm about to open a can of worms with this one.. Will soon be fodder for football twitter.

Very pleased with this bit of business if we pull it off.

Ticks all of Jose's boxes and is ready to go right off the shelf. If he can keep up his attacking ability from the last couple of seasons he will validate this lopsided formation more than Aurier did.

I'm sure Mendes has a few RBs he can chuck Wolves' way hence why the price seems so good. Wolves probably didn't want to stand in his way after 10 years of service.

Irish players have served us well in the past too.

Yup including his Norn Iron namesake "Ginger Pele"

Has anyone watched him closely ?

I watched him from row 4 and could determine he was 6'1 which seems to be what José likes. But when viewing him from row 76, he only looked about 5'5 which was where many SC members watched Aarons from and determined he was too small for José.

Some priest who just happened to be next to me on both occasions explained that on the second occasion, he was just very far away ?‍♂️

Well this came right outta the blue. And looks to be close. If completed within the next week, I’d be delighted. My genuine hope for Jose was that he’d have his CDM and RB choices in before the start of the season. And would have at least two to three weeks working with them in training. As it was abundantly clear last season that our two biggest problems were the aforementioned positions. So, to start a new season with having the most critical gaps filled is a huge deal, given the erratic shit show TWs we’ve seen over the last five years.

There will be a lot less pressure for the remainder of the TW now. The focus will be on a backup ST and potentially another midfielder methinks. The latter contingent on what happens with TN. Also, one would think the final few days of this year’s TW will be really interesting as I’m guessing a lot of prices will drop, bluffs will be called, and last minute loans will be going on left right and center. Hence the patient approach will hopefully reap rewards.

i know this window isn’t like the Bale summer or full of flashy purchases, but in many respects, it could end up being on of the most impactful and thoughtful windows over the last ten years.

Not sure with the thread having been started nine days ago that this is "out of the blue". The Rafa and Son transfers, sure.

Didn’t realise Doherty was actually represented by Gestifute. Obviously a Mendes thing anyhow but fact he gets agent fee makes even more sense why we’ve got him for such a low transfer fee. He then brings in a new guy for Wolves and gets paid again.

Lol. Guy had been saying Celik Celik Celik the last two weeks and now "in advanced talks" for Doherty. Absolute fraud. Can't wait for him to throw "here we go" on tomorrow's tweet that "it's done" when he knows fuck all.
I don't really pay attention to Twitter but from what I've seen he's been dead on about like 5 or 6 deals so far this window already? Hojbjerg fee, Hart, Havertz, etc.

We probably were interested in Celik as well tbf.

Seems pretty clued up to me.

a solid PL proven right back at an affordable fee is good business regardless of age (which at 28 really isn’t an issue). credit to the ITK for calling this long before it was mentioned in any press

What I quite liked from those vids is that he seemed to link up well with Jimenez on a few occasions. Hopefully he can do the same with Kane.

I think he’s solid enough for info, especially for deals on the continent, but there’s defo an element of him that just jumps on the bandwagon on some deals so he looks likes he’s got info on everything, everywhere which he can’t possibly have

Theres a really informative video of him and how he gets his info below
