Why? They’ve been going through our players all evening, half the posts in this thread have been about how dirty they’ve been, Ndombele was being kicked all over the park before he was subbed.

At 2-0 get him off and save him for Sunday surely?!

Because it doesn't work like that, we still needed him on the pitch to relieve pressure.

What would you have said if they scored soon after and Kane was off the pitch?

So where's the grief for Bale not having a right foot that Lamela gets?

Don't know what's better, how little time you gave before rushing to post this or the fact that there was actually comments already about it.

Excellent. Really professional performance against a side that could have caused us problems if we'd not been at it. Props to Sissoko, especially while Ndombele was on as he was the main DM and he played really well, one of his best performances for us.

Bring on the scum.

Very good use of rotation from Jose once again, he's doing well managing both competitions, to be fair we have the squad to do it but still.

Bale's was a bit different as he wasn't in possession of the ball and the ball was coming in at a angle with a defender in between. It looked to me as it would have been a better righted footed shot but it was nowhere as obvious an issue as it was with Lamela. (the grief would have been directed on that outside the foot outswinger to Stevie right after he came in, but then again, that was a magic wand of a pass). I'm a fan of Lamela and i'd love to see him develop more skill and confidence with his right foot.

I guess it’s better Hojbjerg misses the second leg rather than the next round, should he get booked in the return leg and us get through.
